Go figure, this is coming from a president who believes that there are 57 states of America.

I guess China is the newest state. 57 + he didn't get to visit Alaska and Hawaii yet, so that's 59, lol.
I knew he smoked up!

He takes on a lot of topics that major media outlets seem afraid to challenge. He's also pretty critical of Obama for someone as far left as he seems to be.

HBO, but they upload segments on their YouTube channel a few times a week. It's a mostly weekly show, similar in format to The Daily Show.

When Biden does say anything truthful, he apologizes for it.
Quote: U.S. Vice President Joe Biden apologized Saturday to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who was angry over comments in which Biden said Erdogan had admitted that Turkey had made mistakes by allowing foreign fighters to cross into Syria. Biden apologizes to Turkey president in phone call

Quote: Sweden's new prime minister announced Friday that the country will recognise a Palestinian state, becoming the first EU member in Western Europe to do so.
Social Democrat leader Stefan Loefven -- who won last month's general election -- said the Nordic country wanted to bolster a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Washington reacted quickly calling Stockholm's recognition "premature", while Palestinians cheered the decision as "courageous" and urged the rest of the European Union to follow suit.
"A two-state solution requires mutual recognition and the will to co-exist peacefully," Loefven said in his inaugural address to parliament.
This should take place with respect for the "legitimate demands of the Palestinians and the Israelis as regards their right to self-determination and security", he added. Sweden to recognise Palestinian state, US urges caution

You have to love politics! The democrats continue to turn on Obama.
In This Election, Obama’s Party Benches Him
Quote: But for now he has been reduced to something else: an isolated political figure who is viewed as a liability to Democrats
Quote: Democratic senators in Colorado, North Carolina and Virginia — states that were pivotal to his success and whose demographics reflect his winning coalition of young, minority and female voters — do not want him. Nor does his party’s Senate nominee in Iowa, where Mr. Obama won twice and whose youth-filled 2008 Democratic caucuses vaulted him toward the nomination.
Some leading Democrats say it would be better for him to make the case for the party’s economic policies safely away from the most crucial races — as he did last week in Illinois.

Stewart has always been critical of either side as well. They usually don't defend politicians as a general rule. If they feel that you suck for doing something, dem or pub, they will talk about it.

"Last week tonight", airs Sunday if I'm not mistaken. It's not strictly politics, actually, but the main editorial often is.

She's a bait and switch-er. There are so many pictures of her where she doesn't look that bad, and then you see this and at first think, "wait, is that a fat suit?" but no.

Random Politics & Religion is for topics that aren't thread worthy on their own and do not have their own existing thread.
Rules and Guidelines
Forum Rules and P&R Section Guidelines still apply.
Satire is tolerated.
If your topic covers a story over 6 months old (Watergate, Benghazi, 2012 Election, etc.) post it here.
Discussions on racism, homophobia, transphobia, and the like are allowed, targeted insults based on these will not be tolerated.
Political debates get heated and are meant to be intense, if you take offense to being called or proven wrong, you don't belong here.
If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen; if you prove you can't handle the criticism you bring upon yourself in this thread, you may be removed from it. You are responsible for what you post.
Along those lines, heat is fine, but sustained, clearly personal hostility is not okay. The personal attack rules still apply. Attack positions, not posters. Failure to adhere to this will result in your removal from the thread.
This thread is NOT the Flame Core.
These rules are subject to change and modification where and when needed.
Random Politics & Religion may be mained or demained depending on the activity within at a Moderator's discretion.
With that out of the way, let the debates begin!
