Coin Weapon Upgrades

Recently, I was told that you can take the Coin weapons from lv75 to 99 by using a higher number of upgrade items (coins, residues, etc), and skip the NM hunting stage altogether.

Is this true? If so, how?

It's partially true.

You can skip the NM phase all together by getting a -1 weapon from the same splintery chest in Ru'Lude gardens, then all you have to do is trade the specific coin x30, 100 devious dies and 100 Liminal Residue.

The lower number part you're on about is when you actually go out farming the NMs. Then you're only required to trade about 1/3 the original amount of Coins/Dies/Residue.

path A is only 35 die/liminal
path b is 35/100/100

2 weeks ago it took me 30 coins, 100 die, 100 lim. on path B

If you just do the coin/die/residue path it will be 30/100/100.

If you kill a bunch of NM's first and are given trials to trade in seals the coin/die/residue are reduced to 15/35/35.
