MB set looking for pointers

ItemSet 358548

Grioavolr is 15 INT 29mac/30mab

Question is what do I need on gada augment wise to go gada/ammurapi over Grio/Enki. MBD sitting nicely @ 41 without weapon. Also maybe missing some GEO AF/Relic+3 thats worthy??

EDIT: why the hell do Ea Pigaches +1 only have +5 INT?

Geo AF+3 head, is 22% bonus MBD if BGWIKI is right, that goes over cap for cardinal chant (44% total)

Why is Ea feet int+5, int is the stat not on feet for ilvl gear.

Shouldn't matter though since cap is 40% and you'll run Ea anyways for the MBD2+ anyways. We didn't get anything great in relic/AF for nuking. Just find 1 MBD somewhere (staff aug) and flip to Ea Pigaches +1. Basically is the same set as in the BLM forum.

Should be easy to test. Burst with Ea and with AF+3 head facing the right direction, see if you do more damage or not. If it goes over cap then should use that.

Just tried on a mandy outside of Adoulin: Fusion SC + Fire3, Geo-Malaise (obviously)

Ea Hat+1 45,347 (target dead west of GEO) Burst CChant
Geo Galero +3 41,995 (target dead west of GEO) Burst CChant

Ea Hat+1 41,149(target dead east of the GEO) MAB CChant
Geo Galero +3 36,274 (target dead east of the GEO) MAB CChant

Fire5 (same as above)
Ea Hat+1 88,856 (target dead west of GEO) Burst CChant
Geo Galero +3 83,031 (target dead west of GEO) Burst CChant

Eat hat+1 81,870 (target dead east of the GEO) MAB CChant
Geo Galero +3 71,718 (target dead east of the GEO) MAB CChant

Far from scientific, but not seeing its come close to Ea hat+1

Ea is 7% Galero is 22%

Both over cap. Something doesn't look right with those numbers

Your numbers have to be naked with hat only?

14burst + 38 MAB > 22 Burst (as an individual piece)

In a full set though it would be the other way, I would think

Was using the gearset posted above, with just swapping head, and I agree to me it doesnt seem like its breaking the cap.

Galero+3 also 7 less INT

Thats impossible if chant is not counted in the 40% cap.

Do a burst totally naked (with MACC chant), vs a burst with just the +3 hat (facing burst chant) and see if you get 40% (cap) or 44% (over cap)

Account for int 36 on the head piece though

In the guide it says after 50% cure potency stack skill, but this set doesnt have 50% cure pot?

That set also doesn't use Raetic+1, which is huge for us. And ideal for us to use because conserve MP can counter the extra consumption (I assume, at least). My alt is up to around 950~ Cure IV's.

So you are using the raetic rod+1?

"Cure" MP consumed +30% wouldn't this destroy MP pool? or its hardly noticeable?

EDIT: holy ***, going with it!

This is some extremely questionable logic, considering how weak conserve MP actually is. The piece isn't necessarily bad, if you rarely cure the MP will probably not be noticable. If you do situations where your GEO is a primary source of healing, you will quickly regret using it.

As everything, toggle/situational.

You could probably just build it in, if MP>50% go Raetic else Gada or something, didnt ever think I would see a cure4 over 1,000(from geo) lol

Isn't conserve MP when stacked together rather decent, though? GEO has traits to impact how much it conserves and then the stat on the gear itself increases proc rate (or vice versa)?

I actually don't heal in a max +cure set, as I focus Conserve MP in slots that don't gain huge boosts. Example being my belt is austerity+1, hands are shriekers cuffs, boots I just cast in a conserve MP merlinic, etc. Dualbox MP issues are extremely rare, and I almost always can alt-tab over, refresh, radial, convert, etc. and keep on going.

Conserve MP as a trait isn't that great. Gear with +Conserve MP doesn't actually increase the amount you conserve on a proc, it only increases the proc rate.

It's not really worth it on spells that are relatively cheap mp wise already and that you can augment with stats/potency gear/skill.

Geo's use it primarily because some of their spells cost 300+mp, and even the lowest level proc 6.25% will save noticeable amounts of MP.

The average amount a CMP proc gives is ~28%. On Cure IV that's
24 MP which is good, but not game breaking. On Geo-Malaise for instance thats 97 MP.

I mean, the other reason GEO use cmp gear during midcast is that there isn't anything else that benefits the bubble.

According to BGwiki: https://www.bg-wiki.com/bg/Conserve_MP

GEO99 Conserve MP averages out to 43% MP conserved when it proc's. And gear +conserve MP increases the chance for it to proc. So I think it's pretty solid overall and works to counter Raetic.

Due to the reduction calculation (shown above) the average MP cost reduction granted by 100 Conserve MP (100% proc rate) is 28.125%.

It would still essentially zero out the Raetic loss with +60 CMP if you could make that set work. +60 is a lot of pieces.

No, read again please. What BGwiki says is that 99GEO has a baseline 43% proc rate. The formula for the amount reduced is explained lower down which is a randomized value from a set range. Gear bonuses also only affect proc rate. Even when capped at CMP+100, the avg cost reduction is 28.125%.

Doesn't seem horrible to counteract Raetic at least.. Is there anyone who has one can chime in on whether or not CMP procs account for the cost increase or not? I still haven't been able to get a simple yes/no on how the staff+1 works with Occult Acumen even. T_T
