Great achievement, but for the love of Altana use battlemod.
Wow, it's been awhile but I thought I was using battlemod this whole time lol, that's embarrassing... I loaded my game this morning and it says it's loaded but I don't see any of the filters/color changes. Any idea why?
Edit: Redownloaded battlemod and it seems to be working now lol! I did not know the windower team edited the filter.lua, so it was not matching my old luas.
Hey, I've come back to messing around on GEO again and wondering if there is a priority to Job Point categories. A lot of the JP stuff on GEO seems pretty good, but I'm assuming Indicolure duration or BoG is first, then Dematerialize and Life Cycle?

It makes so little difference if you don't also have all the gear to back it, and only for the time it takes you to 2100, that it really doesn't make a huge difference. Just toss it wherever, you'll get it all eventually. Personally I did magic accuracy first, then indi duration.
So with the new 4th augments out for Ambuscade Capes, which route are people gonna go?
Could boost master's Meva even further, add 5DT for master to make it easier to cap both master and pet DT in the same set minimizing sacrifices to pet Regen and other stats, add 5 more HP regen for the pet, or 5% pet DT.
Personally Pet DT is interesting as it offers further options/alternatives in the current slots, but I think in the end I might go with Pet regen +5 since I don't have all the perf Telchine idle sets, yet, plus they have pretty low stats for the master and I'm not too fond of idling in them when you have to stand in range of damage.
My geo is a mule so i'm not paying 100% attention to status, sometimes for example i'm silenced w/o knowing/caring, if i need a quick cure or bubble, etc dat resist might save me a few seconds.
Geo sometimes is outside main pt, this mean no curagas hit me, dt come in hand.
It's really good for people who don't have Telchine yet.
You get the new Relic+3 feet, 5 more in the cape, then soon™ reforged Empy head, etc.
Reduces the amount of perf Telchine pieces you need for sure, which is good for people who still don't have them, and for people who have them as well since it gives them the option to iddle in better gear (Telchine's base stats suck!)
Quote:
I don't really run out of mp or luopan in anything I do anyway
In situations where you're without support, spamming spells (luopans, T5 nukes, C4s etc) I've happened to go out of mp, but it's true that it happens really rarely, to me at least.
@Geigei
You could always make two idle capes. One for when you aren't in range of dangerous stuff (regen) and one for when you are (DT or Meva or Statresist or w/e)
Speaking of which, which first stat did you pick for your GEO capes? I noticed yesterday I have INT+30 instead of HP and I was trying to remember why I put INT+30 there...
I mean VIT I could understand, MND for majority of enfeebling magic debuffs maybe, but INT? Wouldn't it just slightly reduce the damage from elemental spells you receive?
Anything really, the problem is that there's nothing better, for most slots.
Ambuscade - dynamis - omen - aeonics. These are the things i do and telchine suits me well, i'm going to change feet to relic so i'm down to hands/legs only.
Ok, I'll explain why I disagree (I think this is an important discussion):
Ambuscade: Things tend to die - or move - before a super bubble can die.
Dynamis: Same as Ambuscade.
Omen: Mostly the same as Ambuscade. On things like Kei the bubble gets popped. In other cases AoE shortens the life in ways that a FULL regen set may offset by seconds. Maybe that is a very slight advantage over the base 11 from Isa and cape (?)
Aeonics: No way in hell >.> (MAYBE worm?)
EDIT: I completely disagree with Telchine being best by default. Even with higher MEVA it falls behind in MDB, HP, etc.
You sacrifice master survivability (dt-) though when using telchine. Especially since with idris you only need af hands and isa belt to cap pet DT. I don't use telchine pre-idris and still hit pet dt- cap with 20 pet regen and decent master dt-.
Let's say Telchine is good to maxmize the duration of BoG. With the right setup you can have BoG/EA permanently up.
Of course this is a moot point if the damage the Luopan takes is too big, and that alas is quite often the case I have to say.
For fights that are shorter, move too much or just way too much AoE damage, I guess Telchine lose a lot of its flavor.
This is especially true in situations where you're required to stand in range (you wouldn't use a lot of Telchine pieces in those situations to begin with anyway)
I agree, multiple sets are possible. I'm coming at this issue from the perspective of someone who has a well geared GEO but also has a few other jobs well geared as well. (space ;)
I hesitate to call my set 'hybrid' because it covers basically every situation equally well, but there could be room for like 6 more ambu capes if I really wanted to go nuts, or maxing out refresh in certain situations with a toggle, etc.
My Node section is messed up because of too much data usage and I am locked out of editing this guide. If you would like to reach out to Rooks to fix that problem like he said he would years ago when I asked him to fix it, feel free to do so. Until then, enjoy the half fixed guide I guess?
