Smite Vs Spiral

smite vs spiral
To be honest there seems to be no comparison between the 2 weaponskills. Smite is outdoing Shijin even with Impetus down. I've spiked up to 10,693 dmg with Impetus charged vs Supernal Chapuli while farming it with some friends.

I'm going to keep Spiral maxed anyways. It's good for skillchaing purposes and if mobs ever get critical hit resistance again, I'd rather not have to spent 100+ merits again.
There is no other DD anyway. All half assed DDs got their empy WS too so..
I have followed the iipunch guide to gearing for Shijin Spiral and I have tried to gear for Victory Smite using oats but I cant seem to break and AVG of 5k on either ws. Can anyone give me a list on gear that would max my WS overall? I would like to AVG 8-10K ws's on Adoulin side.

LOL I'm guessing my request is probably HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE still would like to see what the best in slots would be for each weaponskill.

I agree i think we would all like too. 5k average is more then enough. most people breaking 8k's constantly are just super buffed or get lucky with constant spike damage i barely break 10k's on tojil's I recently started playing again (couple days). I would also like to see what is now the best gear possible for Vsmite.
The otronif for example. If i need to get crit rate on them for mnk, i'll need to get extra pairs for SAM and DA augs. Your gear= rcb + 4x minuet + indi fury + chaos roll + foghters roll + (dia3 + light shot + geo fraitly + angon)xmobs defense.

[390 days between previous and next post]My apologies for bumping an old thread, but I recently leveled monk to level 99 and wondering about the current state of both weapon skills.
for high level content like Delve, which of the weapon skills is preferred? I get mixed signals saying victory smite isn't needed and 5/5 shijin spiral is preferred and vice versa. Please help me end my confusion :) |
