Sounds like the question you are really asking is not the mechanics of how it happens but why it happens?
Ya ><; I'm just curious what others think about the subject. -I don't preach- please don't forget that lol, that idea tends to brush people off the wrong way and close the ideas I would like to hear ><;
Well at that point I'd say that's on par with asking why anyone does anything. Determinism says it like everythign else is based on prior events. However how does one go about figuring out exactly which events matter and how much. How do you know that breathing 1 more molecule of O2 at 12:11 PM on March 15th 1998 wont have an effect on your decision to kill someone today. Going to the exact details like that is far beyond what we can currently and may ever be able to do. All we can do is take peices and deal with the small inaccuracies inherent in throwing out small details that usually don't matter.
So for a vague general reason why it happens personally I believe most people are at least semi curious. I mean look at our species always wanting to look for something new and poke it and see what happens.
As such our brains are constantly taking little bits of all the information coming in most of which you don't ever notice and mixes and matches it and tries to figure stuff out without you ever thinking about it consciously. This is similar to how intuition works.
Normally however it just keeps going along plodding and playing its little solve everything game. But occasionally the subconsciously will reach out and say hey I figured out some stuff.
Sometimes in the form of vague feelings of knowing something. Sometimes in the form of you preforming actions for reasons you yourself don't even know.
Now the big question why does it sometimes do it and sometimes not? And more importantly is it possible to make it do more?
I beleive that it's somewhat based on the person. That the subconscious is vaguely controlled by your wants and desires. So you will be more in tune with things that interest you and such. Of course controlling and directing such is no easy task at all.
Also it is my belief that like intuition it is highly influenced by your own abilities. You can make leaps in logic and come to the right answer but you can only leap so far and logically thinking is the still the base.
Alot of this I've really come to from watching and seeing myself and my dad act/react to situations before they happen. Or just know stuff. And came to the whole determinism thought from that. Though finding a name for it recently was nice
