He was funding a relic. He'd grow elemental ores, craft them into beads and sell them onto a woodworker friend. He estimated he was making about 10m a month.

I know somebody who has never used third party programmes, doesn't even use Windower. They had a Goldsmithing character @ 100, which had 12 mules for gardening. SE banned them for "RMTing".

I don't think you were around for the massive gardening bans. A lot of innocent folks were banned.
i wasn't here for it i dont' think.

question: was there a gardening bug at the time?

You wouldn't need a good lawyer if they did that. You'd pretty much win even if you got Cleatus the Slack Jawed Yokul to represent you. Privacy is serious business, especially on a global scale!

Actually, there's a good chance to win in that case. That's like saying a person couldn't sue Mcdonalds because the coffee was hot when they spilled it on themselves...

Yeah because that always works...

oh wait I remmeber someone winning millions of dollars from mcdonalds because there coffee was too hot. Or OJ after being acquitted of murder still sued and lost on the wrongful death of whats her face.

Little people beat big corporations all the time. Hell they don't even have to be in the right.

I'm pretty sure the local drunk could win my case for me considering how slam dunk it is

there's a difference:

one is physically there (the hot coffee) and one is virtually there (something you can't really prove unless you find the spyware in ffxi data)

If they found something on your computer that didn't send information to their server, that means they scanned the computer.

Do not underestimate the severity of virtual crimes especially when involving privacy.

True story I know of a guy who was driving down the street at 5MPH. Some kid rides his bike down a hill and runs into the side of the guys car. He goes flyign over it and hits his head. Not wearing a helmet which is required by law he kills himself.

The mom of the kid sues the guy in the car. Because he was going at least 5 MPH even though it was in a different direction then the kid and the kid clearly hit his car he still lost and is paying millions and millions until he pretty much dies and passes the debt onto his kids.

Winning law suits is easy

Or better one. Guy breaks into a house to steal stuff. Get's confronted by the owner. He panics shoots and kills the owner.

Burglar gets life in jail.

Family of burglar sues family of dead guy saying they were wrongly depriving them of there bread winner/ man of the house whatever stupid crap they wanted to pull.

Basically turned it around to where it was the dead guys fault for being threatening that he died. Therefore his and by extension the families fault that the murderer was in jail... yep they won

would you really let the law scan your computer, seeing all those illegal songs you download and end up getting sued for them OR for the websites you visited OR find something illegal on it? if you do it yourself, the law will just laugh at you and s-e will claim it's fake unless you give up your computer, which has your personal stuff. so either way your privacy won't be private anymore

PLD is at 63 now.

I'm trying to get enough AN (and the medal ranks) for the IR gear before hitting 68. Sitting at just under 50kAN I think (out of 225k for every piece). At the least I have 2-3 pieces I want to get before actually partying.

I'll still be using WHM mainly until I'm geared well enough for EG events. Already bidding on gear for PLD from limbus/sky. I just either lose the bid or the gear doesn't drop >_<

That's such a flawed argument, lol.

That would be like claiming somebody in a rape case can't claim her virginity was stolen, because she was raped and therefore her virginity isn't her virginity anymore... So she hasn't got a case, right?

You're looking at it from the wrong perspective. It's not what's on the computer, it's how they access it.

If someone breaks into my house, they're still going to get in trouble even if the cop finds drugs in the house.

it all depends on the law.

here in michigan if a homeowner defends himself against a burglar, the burglar can sue and win. hell if the burglar injures himself while stealing, he can also sue and win (via state court) but if it goes to federal court the burglar would go to jail.

You should get PLD to 75, since PLD/DNC is probably the best job combination for getting the quickest allied notes (you will more or less get 100% of your experience in notes on PLD/DNC.)

It should speed up the process of getting those notes, but I guess if you have an agenda it's easier to stick by it. I only personally got the body and hands though; body for enmity until I get Hydra Haubert from Tavnazia, and hands because I've had to pass Homam Hands six times to stay top of legs.
