Bah I need to make a spellcast for thf. Way too much to maccro for going full evasion to haste/fastcast for Ni and maybe somethign mixed for ichi. I have crazy Ideas I need to try out
Auto-swapping for recast would be fun if I could figure out the XML for it. All I did was hit my haste set, then swapped to EVA again <.<
Well I don't feel like learning script maccros. I figure I can use my blu one as a very basic base line
How hard is it to type:
Macro said: input /equip head "Empress Hairpin"; input /equip neck "Evasion Torque"; input /equip ear1 "Dodge Earring" input /equip ear2 "Dodge Earring" input /equip body "Scorpion Harness"; input /equip hands "War Gloves +1"; input /equip ring1 "Sniper's Ring"; input /equip ring2 "Sniper's Ring"; input /equip back "Amemet Mantle +1"; input /equip waist "Swift Belt"; input /equip legs "Dragon Subligar"; input /equip feet "Dance Shoes"; then use //console exec THF_EVA.txt or whatever Well I don't the files and all that crap and where to put it etc..
Also it's about the same amount of text as doing it in spellcast except have to set a rule for when to use that set. Which just makes in ig part easier. Usually. Not to mention the whole precast putting fast cast thing then swapping it out Also wtf is up with the amemet in the evasion set!?! I figure I can use my blu one as a very basic base line nothin to learn. if you can make normal macros, you can make script macros. instead of having all the lines as /equip changes, youll have one line that does as much as you want it to do. ie line 1 would be /equip all my fast cast and eva gear for utsus , line 2 /wait however long for cast, line 3 /equip all my eva or haste/tp or w/e gear. you have a world of possibilites. the scripts you make will look like normal macros basically.. put a text file in your scripts folder, in windower folder. try ver batum: input /equip head "whatever" input /equip neck "whatever" input /equip ear1 "whatever" input /equip ear2 "wahtever" input /ws "whatver" <t> and so on, for a whole gear set. save it as whatever.txt, and in just any old macro line in game, put /console exec "whatever.txt" after your whole set changes with one macro.. and you see how possible it is to have multiple sets change on one macro for different applications... im hardpressed to believe youll ever go back edit: making xmls for spell cast is a lot more involved unless your just copying/pasting into someone elses template. scripts are basically normal macros. a good example imo are my blm nukes. where it used to be like 7 macros back in the day.. 1 for the nuke, 2 for hp down kit, 2 more to requip nuking set, and another 2 for ugga and day kit... now they are all basically 1 macro.. thunder 1 will be line 1: /console exec "blm-hpdown.txt" (which will also have loq/pumps to precast fastcast), line 2: /ma "thunder" <t>, line 3: /wait 1, line 4: /console exec "blm-thunder.txt" which will be nuking set + juptier. ugga and day kit still on their individual macros. for any other thunder spell it will use the same scripts, just being a thunder 3 or say burst 2 macro. Well I use spellcast now... so usually that works pretty much as good or better. About the only time it wont is when you want to change an armor set based on nothing that can be detected by windower. So like resist rate or acc or evasion or something like that.
But for things dependent on actions or action being done or mp hp weather day and probably other things I don't know about it works crazy good and I got base line ones already. The problem with manually swapping everything for recast timers is Human Error. There are times I miss the timing and end up having to wait 40 seconds instead of 30 (Probably not precise numbers.) Well, I've been up 5 hours, but I always thought "Good morning!" is more cheerful than "Afternoon", lol. Besides, if we want to be technical, you're all in the morning and I'm addressing you, so "Good morning" is correct regardless that it's 1:17pm here =D

Slapped myself quite hard when I realized it. (Too late of course.) As my fickle-nature would have it, Das(and partially Mai) have made the urge worse. I also have my homepage on FFXIclopedia, so I wandered off and researched jobs. Currently waiting for SE to open and reply to my email to see if I can use my 1 restoration. Already working on a checklist for if I get it back. (And have to move to Ramuh, since Mai moved and is gonna be pissed later when I tell her everything) Edit: Remind me to just shutdown the content ID next time I decide to do something "Rash." ***everyone in my household helps support it one way or another or they can GTFO!
Edit: btw I slapped Mai within 1 minute of her transferring And that kids, is why you just cancel your content IDs, and never delete your characters. Theses words of wisdom have been made possible by viewers like you. PBS
