I hear you. Anytime you see someone walking back to the boat after noon it's like dude your going the wrong way what's wrong with you. Cause you know if you just stayed gone no one would probably care if you said it took awhile. If you left later like a little before going home time they probably wouldn't expect you back that day or at least not to stay. Yeah well if they ground up the iron pole first they probably could. Also people have eaten solid peices of metal like that and digested them though it's hard to do so completely in the time it takes to go thru. Theres plenty of people who eat dirt cause there body is craving various minerals from the ground. Not enough iron and you can get anemnic

Yeah we had an Anemic kid in my school when i was little who used to eat it randomly. It was weird. But there is a super high iron content in the dirt here. Thus the "red clay" from the oxidation(rusting)of the iron in the dirt.
My point was I don't want to be eating ceraeal with shards if metal in it that my body probably won't absorb, and no your body doesn't always absorb all the iron from iron pills either.
