May just be an Iowa thing but unless you start the conversation bartenders won't talk to you much. Same goes for what you guys talk about, the customer usually initiates what you discuss. I've met very few that do otherwise (like 1 maybe 2)and no drink shaming that I know of, unless I just tune it out way too well.
the random people unburdening their souls on to me thing... might just be me... I'd like to think it was because I look like a priest or something but it's probably closer to a magnetism other psychotics seem to also have.
I never order water in a restaurant because I hate that "oh boy...this tip is going to be spectacular" eye roll, deep sigh, look of dejection etc. which again, I quickly pick up on...because I'm paranoid and I'm studying everyone for non verbal cues...

However at this particular location they decided to stop the special early... so I got a foot long chili & cheese coney. Surprisingly no side effects from it. I was kinda relieved but now I question the food quality

baby sat my god daughter saturday. she is three so it was mostly snacks, disney movies on netflix and her asking when she could go home...
sunday was a shoot 'em up shotgun shell shooting spree....need to shorten that name up a bit... 275 rounds of ammunition and exploding biodegradable clay pigeons littering the landscape as far as the eye can see. the automatic clay target thrower was a solid investment. some of the discount clays from walmart broke dropping into the throwing arm but /shrug they only cost $6 a case of 90.
probably didn't have to repeat the safety rules as often as I did with the nephew but I really don't want to get shot with my own gun...or anyone else's.
7 1/2 target load... jebus that would be fun getting 350 pellets dug out of whatever is left of my carcass...
this is the barrel, it gets hot so don't touch it but more importantly don't point it anything you don't want to die. only point it down range /points or straight up. this is the safety. red is dead, black before you hand it back. this is the first and last thing you will look at. I'm going to hand it to you loaded with a round in the chamber. check to make sure the safety is on, keep your finger off the trigger, hold it pointing straight up while you move into shooting position, get into your stance, point it down range and then take the safety off and say "firing" only then move your finger on the trigger. take your shots, when you are out check the chamber to make sure it is empty, put the safety on say "out" point it straight up an then step out of the box.
he was nervous and unfamiliar with all the terminology but he did well.... we'll work on fine tuning later. he has to get comfortable handling an exploding pipe with the potential of blasting his uncles in half into a cloud of fine red mist...

like everything else in life it's a bit of both good and bad... my brain is on super high alert the whole time. right around the 250 round mark people start getting tired and the eye strain messes with their vision...I'm still bleating safety into them....
I may enact a never bring more than one case of 250 ammo rule... even with four guys total that's ten turns each at least... I get better then... but the kids start getting sloppy.
I was re-demonstrating the loading procedure, point down range blah blah blah and one of my cousins walked in front of us.
I jerked the gun straight up...and we're going to stop if someone accidentally steps in front of us
then I looked into the kid's soul and said never ever do that never put yourself in front of the barrel of a gun.

might be pistol next for me.... I have been eye banging the ***out of a Glock 17 Gen5 with night sights. it's in stock at my neighborhood cabela's so I may have to go there this week...it's only 650 bucks...

Also since I'm so giddy today:
Weekend was interesting. Spent time with a friend and her other friends since she's heading off to live with her boyfriend in another state to get from her emotionally/physically abusive parents.
Met one of them... talked a fair bit. Like we went to a pet store at one point, and I always have to go see ferrets if they have them... she went to the same spot and we talked a bit about pets and how we'd both like basically the same animals at some point.
Fast forward to after everything... Realize I thought she was really cute and we were clicking well... Asked friend if she was single. Friend started by going all mom mode because apparently they're closer than sisters and she's never had a boyfriend/had anyone like her (that she knows of). Then was like... "Actually... I support this." she's now acting as a wing woman to two of the most socially awkward people ever, laughing/gushing the whole time... I have to take things incredibly slow, like possibly a year before anything can happen because she's definitely the "we have to be really good friends before I can do anything" type. But I'm oddly super okay with it...

Also I only had one real problem I had with it. Since the first time I used it was the first time I had shot a gun, I found it very obvious that my shoulder/arm wasn't as steady as it should have been. I cleaned it up a bit after that but it's still not where I'd like it. May just be a case of needing to work out a bit to get some muscle up there.

Alyria is the most social female, gets groped a lot without provoking it by others, and Tairo ends up stabbing people for it. Cai is just a barrel of lols, I might be gay for him. If I wasn't straight.
Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).
Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.
Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.
Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
