There was one cute girl from when I worked nights, came in consistently for almost 2 weeks straight and only ever talked to me. Took me 2 co-workers and 2 weeks to finally realize she was hitting on me...

Here is a good way to practice a little bit of situational awareness. Most women that you see out in public are wearing something that they want you, as a potential suitor, to notice.
It could be jewelry, shoes, a purse, something that they put thought and effort into. It could also be their new hair cut. DO NOT STARE. Glance casually. Notice on each female you encounter what that item is. Now, this part only applies to women you would consider taking out for coffee, mention the item. "That's a cute ____ where did you get it? -Or- Those are cute shoes/boots/etc. Where did you get them? etc. If they are not interested in you they wont answer definativly. They will say something in a dismisive tone. But if they engage you in a conversation about the item, they have accepted your compliment and you can ask them out for coffee. Especially if after looking you over they touch their hair. Your mission, if you chose to accept it is, find the flare, get a date, report back.

The second part of the situational awareness seminar has been postponed due to lack of MSPaint skills and free time... Bad Hombres - Know your Exits and potential points of conflict was going to include a layout of the diner Mosin and I ate at, where we sat and why, how many bad hombres were in the room and how many potential points of conflict there were relative to our position and my action plan. In this highly abbreviated version -my back was to the emergency exit in the back of the room, I had a view of the parking lot and the entire dinning room, there was only one armed bad hombre and the other potential point of conflict was of course the cash register. Flight - In case of a fire or armed robbery we would have fled immediately out the near exit. Fight- The big fella in the middle of the room was right handed, armed with a knife on his right side he was heavy, had bad knees, and had long hair. I would have been on his left side if he pivoted out from his chair to face the isle. So stomp kick to the left knee, grab his left arm with my left hand and use my right hand to pull him backwards by his hair and try to drive his head through the table. That way even if he got the knife out his couldn't turn to use it. If he for some strange reason came out backwards both of my hands would have controlled his right arm and then stomp kick the right knee, ear drop, kimura the right arm.
