Yeah, I can see both sides also. I just have flashbacks to goofing off at my buddyrina's real deal ranch. She barrel raced, we would have to break horses once they reached adolescence. That is a God damn adrenaline rush! Lessons in not backing down and holding your ground no matter what to establish dominance. You DO NOT turn your back. You have to work with them for at least an hour a day every-***'-day.
I also volunteered at a ranch at which they had therapeutic riding for kids with a myriad of disabilities throughout high school. It was fun, but some people would donate unbroken horses sometimes. I guess they didn't want to deal with them? It's kind of sad. They closed that ranch during the recession.
