hmm and the world will never know.

edit: did she have teeth? one has to wonder what kind of girl hits on a guy with the line "you smell like skoal."
She had teeth, she was pretty, and was at least half Native American.

She probably has daddy issues you should go back there someday. Who knows could be the the future Mrs.AnnaRuthven. Just make sure at least half of her doesn't have type II diabetes..

(was that offensive? if you get the joke you're my kind of bad)

Made the mistake of watching that after all the hub-bub on here when I told myself I wouldn't. Ugh...Yeah, if the dialogue in the film is straight out of the book, that was pure and utter hot garbage with a dash of roadkill.

I know, a little action and discounted or free tacos. Sadly, this one escaped me because I hadn't realized I had the opportunity.

It was a boring night and it was the only thing on tv. Bolded so true. It was really cringeworthy.

I feel like people have forgotten that aspect of it, which seems crazy, because it's by far the most entertaining part of the whole enterprise.

Or, inversely, those of us who consider literature to be a beautiful art can't forget this aspect of it, and it's but one among the legion of reasons that legitimate writers trend toward alcoholism or other self-destructive pursuits.

Edit: Wow, that got darker than I intended.

All I'm saying is that the public's judgment of prose is something akin to a stray dog's discerning palate. Filet mignon, bacon, or feces; they'll gobble up whatever is fed them, apparently.

I've never read Twilight so I have no basis to judge it. Certainly not going to do it by the teen movies filled with bad acting.

Twilight itself is lowest-common-denominator Mary Sue-level fanfic-quality rubbish that took off into a multi-million dollar empire by virtue of...well, the apparent need for a majority of American teenage girls (and teenage-girl-minded women) for escapism without actually putting forth any effort into finding a real outlet or hobby.

It's a bunch of vapid tripe with nearly no redeeming quality and even the actors in the movies have an abiding hate for it at this point.

Though your point of bad acting is amusing to me, because the actors have had acclaim -- Kristen Stewart specifically comes to mind -- elsewhere. She has won awards on the international level that literally no other Americans have.

The simple fact is that Sir Laurence Olivier incarnate couldn't have saved that nonsense.

The first thing that comes to mind when I hear Twilight it's Pattinson's face which for some reason annoys me.

I think most of the Kristen Stewart "bad acting" stuff came from Twilight. I watched a movie night mini documentary on her when that Huntsman/Sleeping Beauty movie she was in was on and they showed that she's jump right in to whatever was required even if it meant getting bruised or banged up. I think Twilight is just that movie those actors regret doing.

Kentucky would make a better testing ground, you could send the mullet into extinction quick.
