So, I worked today and we got a small draw because we know the guy and we dunno when we can continue so we each got $100. Since I don't go to the casino every time I get paper money, I already had some money so that $100 goes towards that revolver I'm saving for....as well as ammo because .45 Colt isn't cheap.
Now, I tell you that to tell you this; I stash money in my old wallet, under that wallet was an older wallet which had a $200 check in it from 2011....which I forgot to cash or deposit. >.>

Speaking of puppies, after yesterday's discussions I was bored and took a bunch of doggie compatibility tests of various websites.
Turns out that among the breeds that consistently fit my needs, Westies actually are on the list. Apparently they're actually among the easier terriers to train. My mother is just absolutely terrible at training our/her dogs to behave. So Westies are (much to my delight and probably the wife's chagrin, as I haven't told her yet) back on the radar! Hurray!  Because if you don't love the Westie Head Tilt™ you don't have a soul.

I like terriers. Westies seem to have a good temperament. I've never seen them around kids, though.

I mean, he was okay around my cousin who was constantly around, whom was born about four months after he was, but she was also nearly omnipresent in my house a lot of the time so he was quite socialized to her as part of the family. I think you want to avoid unfamiliar babies and smaller animals with them though. Their prey drive isn't as strong as other terriers or some of the Scandinavian pups, but it's still present in varying degrees (my dog didn't have it really strong, but my mom's last dog did). As for my wife and Westies...my dog gave her a pretty bad impression. Mine had hip dysplasia and was pretty standoffish for a Westie, to be honest. He was great around family but unlike many Westies, he wasn't super friendly with strangers and he wasn't "old" when Mirny came into my life, but he was ~7-8 and had developed some of his quirks. Also as he got older he regressed in some of his *ahem* house training and she really doesn't want to deal with that. I think she's carried that impression across the breed is all. For any of his negatives I still really miss my dog. He was a buddy.

There are a few breeds though you really can't have smaller pets (gerbils, rabbits, etc.) because they can't be trusted. Even if they're okay for a time, it really only takes one instinct to be flipped and you've got a dead Fluffy, and Buster is proud as punch that he's done his duty for you.
