NXKXGLIE?

OUKXGLIE?

I'll level with you. I had to look those up. There's no way I would be able to remember those.

Something might be wrong with the IMG tags.

Anyway, I went to a strings concert by kids and then a dinner on the town. I am officially out of steam, and it's not even noon.

I sympathize.

I had 6 cups of coffee today and I'm pretty sure someone must have extracted the caffeine before me.

Yeah...I need to finish that.

We bought a kitchen and tool workshop as joint toys for both kids and I need to finish putting them together.

Ugh.

There is very little worse than a middle school orchestra concert, but you need to encourage them because that ***is hard, and hard work, and the end result is beautiful a decade later.

But that newbie violin, man. That newbie violin.

*winces*

Ordered some minerals and rocks for the eldest, since she really enjoys playing with them (jasper, amethyst, flint, and a grab-bag assortment).
Thought it was 4.5lbs. Was 4.5kilo.

Hey, not a bad thing get twice what you thought you were as long as it's not perishable.

I swear, people either failed civics class (and understanding of the concept of secular governance), or just ran away from it or something. Sheesh.

Anyone have plans for the weekend?

My eyes began to hurt, I sensed they were going to bleed, so I stopped backreading the past couple of pages and left the thread again.

I've had a renewed sense of enjoyment in XI recently so I'll be doing some work on a few in-game projects, I think. That and shoving things into boxes and discarding old crap because our closing date will, hopefully, be here before we know it.

It's pretty much as non-perishable as you can get, so yay!
Forgot how much fun it is to look through the various minerals. Can't wait to see her expression when she first cracks a geode.

That, however, will be after the point where she understands that even though that rock is neat when you crack it open, not everything is that rock (nor should you try to crack it open!).

Yeah, I just wanted to qualify that statement because I hate going grocery shopping and having to do the buy-one-get-one-free thing for a discount because I start worrying about how the hell am I going to go through nine pounds of roast in a week and that giant hunk of beast won't fit in my freezer.

Grocery shopping is a tactical thing when you're planning for two people because the store focuses absolutely everything on families of 4-6.

I missed the piano recital the other weekend while watching the stupid vikings get beaten in minneapolis. I felt bad, but I flew out and had all the tickets and such way before hand, so idk, what do you do...

Ah, good. Yeah. Those first few years are rough, though. Congrats on being through them.

I remember that Xmas where I wrapped everything in shipping thick brown paper, and used neon green shipping tape.

or tossed ***inside empty boxes of tin cookie boxes.

or the box inside a box gift thing.

edit: maily because *** the price of xmas themed wrapping paper, and then it is just crazy and nerve racking, watching people methodically unwrap said gifts so they can save, reuse, not tear that same *** paper.

Wrapping gifts is a stupid thing. Nice bags and gift boxes are way nicer.

In unrelated commentary, everyone in the family knows when I'm the one who wrapped something.

Why can't they just make both sides of the nice wrapping paper the same so it's less obvious that I can't wrap things and line up edges for ***?
