Certainly you have all heard the triumphant retelling of epic tales of conquest. Drunk with power but cursed with a unslakable thirst for glory, great kings lead great armies of men and sweep across the lands putting all to flame in the fire of war....

But this is not one of those tales. No. this is what happens to those that are left behind. For when great armies march they leave behind them a loyal rear guard to defend the kingdom from reprisal.

And so here we are, left to defend a kingdom from decimated enemies, foes unseen, armies un-mustered. Where and when will a new threat arise? Certainly not from the charred crater that was once the kingdom of subligaria, it's warriors burned alive in their traditional garb. The smell of burning jock straps and failure can be whiffed upon a foul breeze still...

We wait

and life drags on and on while news from the god king meshi's armies trickles back to us in whispered rumors carried on the winds, tales of the conquered hordes themselves do not as so few are left alive to recount these tales... We get only snippets... sometimes enormous columns of black smoke far off, in distances immeasurable to man, are all the news we recieve...

Every day the court assembles, plans are made, wine is drunk and songs are sung. There is bustle and energy in the air, even now as years have past since our king departed across the sea of sand into the endless dessert to the west...

How long have we been here? Waiting. and Mosin the Executioner sharpens his axes and the great armory fills with gleaming weapons of death and destruction and perhaps I see Magnus reclined in his chair, scratching himself in slumber as evil Nikolce and Flavin design and build horrible machines of war, monstrous machines for mutilating man, super storm machines for weaponizing nature itself... turning fields and lands to ash or freezing castles into ice coffins. Plague machines, and alchemist dreams, sit and slumber. Sinister, diabolical, yearning to be unleashed...

and on the other side of this raging yang of war machines and death lies the yin, Zahrah the Hoppy has put her bow and arrows away and instead fills the social calendar with grand dances and celebrations... planning galas, playing music, arranging for feasts, entertaining the dignitaries from far off lands. They wait here too, mostly against their will. Part celebrated guest, part unwitting captive, they mill about the castle... I can see Donnie of the north lands now, the ice merchant from the frigid wasteland, pestering the staff. And poor doomed skully, the last of his kind, all that remains of the once proud subligarian race, forced to wear clothing, compounding his shame...tortured from time to time for sport and amusement.

Well I finished EV training my Snivy in my B2 restart game. Next up: Pidove.

Should be easier. Sp. Att EV training in the meadow sucks but best place to do it in the beginning.

Since we all can't be on the same linkshell in game, this can be our cross server linkshell thread.

Like most linkshells, it can be pretty dead at times. Other times it's full of intense conversations about either rl, gear, goals, pokemon or anything else you want to contribute.

We can cover any sort of topic at all, within reason of the forum rules. No real main topic, just a bunch of FFXIAH friends/people coming on and discussing random things.

Not sure about Citag, s/he's new. Kiriyu is just an in-out kinda person. Says one thing every three days that every guy makes a big fuss over. Ludoggy gets really defensive since she's asian and underage (might be 18 now).

Artem is the wayward soul that makes you ponder the meaning of life by constantly reminding us life can suck. But he deals, and so do we. About the same for Savannah, except people are more "AWH!" to her because of a vagina involved.

Dasva is the ex military man (as is Krizz but this doesn't apply to him) who hates the world and plots a way to destroy most of it.

Number2 is kinda like a mix between Cai and I; never bashes, likes to laugh and has odd avatars. His current suits a lot of the convos this LS gets into. Barti is most well known for his moustache. He gives mousatche rides for a fee. I'm missing a few people but whatever. CARRY ON!
