I'm a creative writing major. If I'm in a writing mindset, I say what I'm feeling, only largely exaggerated. It's more fun to both read and write if I'm being mean, and I'm really not concerned with upsetting people.
Ingame it's different. Talking becomes insignificant. But on the forums I let my feelings be known.
