GGs night. I thought your Lucina was toughest. You're pretty good at gimping recovery w/ her, so regardless of percent, I never felt safe
Was fun! Yeah, I'd consider her/Marth my best and Sheik my next best but I'm still trying to adjust to the changes in range and such. Also I dunno if you saw but I tried to airdodge into the ground a few times out of habit lol, that ***doesn't work here.
Your Shulk is really strong. Lingering hitboxes and range for days. I think I've got the hang of it, but I'd need to iron out some bad habits before I'd have a fair shot at taking it. Also I had no idea I could pick up the Mechakoopa lol, so that was fun to figure out. Makes the Jr matchup a bit more interesting. Before I started maining Snake in Brawl, I played Ike exclusively for about 2 years. Shulk is kinda like a much safer Ike w/ more range. ***just came natural (surprisingly more natural than this game's version of Ike, which I felt was unnecessarily nerfed; as he was low tier to begin with. Shorter range, f-air much slower, etc.)
The shorter sword ranges in general feel entirely unnecessary, but maybe that's my bias talking. I'm using to having a spacing advantage to offset my weaker close-range game and generally middling attack speed, but probably half the cast can challenge my range now. I've got a shortsword, same with Link, Ike's greatsword barely makes it as a longsword now, etc. Shulk is the only sword user that still seems to have appreciable range, though his ftilt/dtilt aren't much to write home about.
Nothing is as bad as my banana nerf. :(

The banana nerfs do seem severe, even considering how good they were in Brawl. I've been hearing good things about Diddy though.

Maybe it's because I'm used to Deep Kong recoveries from the *** bottom corner in PM, but barrels look really bad now.
I can't use my jump offstage half the time for some reason either.
Her B custom is the dumbest ***ever. Priority on every attack, and you can't even shield it.
It's actually unsafe on block and doesn't do heavy shield damage like the default does, but I'm getting better about spacing and transcendent priority is pretty cool. I should've saved some of my matches with Tiger, he punished me for it a few times.
You can just spam B and win most matchups.
I wanna see how bad I am compared to everyone :(
A lot less annoying without that particular custom.
