Thoughts On Baalmuian Robe Versus Bokwus For MB?

If you're not familiar with the piece:

Baalmuian robe

There is no info on it in terms of how MUCH MB damage it actually gives, but looking through the big sticky BLM gear suggestions, I don't see it listed.

Atleast to me, it looks like quite a nice piece... If it's at least 5% MB, it would complete the 40% cap for additional MB damage.

Would it be better to use something like this and just get as much MB damage as possible or use straight MAB like Bokwus robe would be (assuming augmented)?

Moreover, when is it appropriate to use MB gear over something like weather gear? I would assume chelona pants, for example, would always beat sorcerer's tonban because chelona have a 10% damage bonus whereas tonban only have 5% damage bonus...

Thoughts on the issue?

Magic Burst & Magic Burst Bonus is now added to my little magic dmg calc.

Fully augmented Bokwus with MAB path sweeps the floor with Baalmuian Robe in all categories. In comparison: Bokwus = +13INT +18MAB over Baalmuian. Don't waste your time on Baal Robe...

Hm, I don't know if I'm doing it wrong, but I'm getting like 6300 damage for Blizzard 5...

if I have 78 MAB + 40 job trait MAB does that mean I put 218% in the MAB section?

78 MAB+40 traits = 118 MAB.
read row 3. I added a note on MAB as well. Every time I check the calc. if someone hasn't been editing for a while I revert it back, so whatever changes you made are gone.

I'll make a better one once I know the new values & possibly new term in place of the current 'D'.
Not looking forward to writing out all those pieces of equipment to reference like the dps calculators for DDs currently do. Or to writing out the formula to look for multiple inflection & cap points for M or dINT.

edit: about the Soothsayer Staff beat magian, try comparing spells like Noctohelix, Thunder 3, (bio 2/3 lol), or look to the right hand side for kaustra/meteor dmg.
