WTH??

This is going to sound very weird and like I'm going bonkers.. Maybe I am, I have no idea.

So I'm in Uleguerand Range, killing PH for Bannacon. Then I have to AFK for 20 minutes or so. When I went AFK, I went AFK on the ramp just before the NM. It's a spot I have AFK'd in many times before. I come back, and my character is on auto run, running into a wall. Oh, and I'm more than half dead. With 213 HP. I figure maybe my cats jumped up on my desk and stepped on my keyboard. But I can't get myself off auto run or turn around at all. So I restart the game.

When I get back on, I have control over my character again. So I cure myself, and run back up the ramp. But.. It's the ramp that you first go down, to run through the tunnel to go up another ramp that is where the NM spawns. There's no way I could have auto ran through the tunnel and survived.

I remembered seeing a BLU soloing the buffalo before the tunnel, and asked if they saw that something was aggroing me, and killed it. They said no.

I called a GM to see if there was any way they knew what happened. They said no.

Has this happened to anyone before???

Yeah, actually, that's happened to me a couple times now, on main and mule. I like lose control of my char for a few seconds, and start grinding into walls and ***because I can't turn, and can't stop running...

Did you end up at the start of a zone with no possible way of surviving on your way there? x.x; I've heard of people losing control of there characters/not being able to move. The thing I'm more puzzled about is how I ended up close to the start of the zone. If I auto ran from the ramp, I would have got caught between a rock before I could get through the tunnel. And if I remember right, the bats in the tunnel aggro to sound.

And something was beating away on me. But I guess decided not to kill me, and just leave me at 213 hp. o.O Cause the only other person in the zone was the BLU. And she said she didn't see anything aggro me.

I'm so confused.

Maybe your cat not only jumped onto your keyboard, but played for a bit, killed the bats in the tunnel, then accidently right clicked, lost control, and went "oh ***what've I done!?" and ran away so you wouldn't bust him/her.

In my case it's only happened in towns, except for ONE time it happened in like Yuhtunga I think. Either way, I never noticed aggro or anything.

Did your mouse cursor look funny? If you do something it will look weird and your character will automatically follow where ever it is.

In my case, no it wasn't the mouse...the mouse wasn't even on the screen in the one particular incidence I'm thinking of, I was clicking ***on my second monitor...and my char was running the opposite direction from the mouse anyways...

I'm sticking with my theory of the cat did it, it's the only explanation so far that actually answers the questions <_<

No. The mouse cursor looked just like the normal gold arrow.

And the tunnel isn't straight through either.

Maybe buffalo's can secretly teleport people. Very weird.

I blame society...

Sometimes I run around like a weirdo, but only when I have touched the mouse at least once during the session I have been logged in.

It's all an act, then once you aren't looking then...BAM! She gets your character beat up a little then moves it halfway across the map!

This has happened to me a few times in the past however it was most likely all caused by a case of severe keyboard and/or mouse malfunction and my computer being on it's last leg and lagging horrifically. However, I haven't had issues as of late, this occurred to me once in a blue moon years ago.
