still no download link on the invoice for my order from the SE site either. there's a button at the bottom of the invoice to cancel the order though, if i do that will they refund the money back to my card that i've already been charged for? or am i just boned?

I have a question doing the digital download for the PC. I have 2 separate accounts and use two computers at home. In the past, I could use the same disc to install the expansion on both computers and register both accounts. I know I should be able to download the digital copy onto both computers, but what about registering to two IDs? Something is telling me I'd need to buy two...

Sorry, there just seems to be this overwhelming sense of urgency for people installing this thing, as if it's going to make the teleporter to Adoulin activate sooner or, or they're not going to be able to download it at all.

A registration code will only activate the expansion on one account, but as long as the expansion is installed on that computer you can play with your account.

You don't need any registration code to install the expansion.

How big is this expansion DL?

I received an email with a code, I must be getting old, because I can't for the life of me find where I'm supposed to use the code.

Anyway, I think the "download" for the "expansion" isn't really needed. I read something that seemed to imply that if you don't have the expansion installed, it's just an extra couple hundred MB that you'll have to get during the update (patch) during maint.

Reasons behind this logic are that they've been putting Adoulin files into the patches for the past several updates (that's how people first found about it to begin with, after all).

I suppose that's understandable. I'm pretty sure having an active FFXI subscription is up for consideration as a criterion for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder the DSM-5.

They sent my codfe with a 2nd email containing the MP3s... There was only a little text line saying : "Digital Rights: XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX". Had a hard time figuring out this was my SoA registration code...

Forgive me if this has been asked, but I purchased 2 full PC copies. Registered Adoulin just fine, as well as the beret, but the shirt codes show as invalid. Anyone?

Edit: Saw answer on 2nd page, guess it won't be activated until Adoulin!

The shirt codes cannot be used before Adoulin goes live.

Register the expansion code in the SE account management system, install the expansion, start the game and let it update.

i registered already, to install i pull up pol viewer select install and option for soa should be listed? sorry if u gettin flustered :x this is my first pc expansion i was on ps2 till like 5 months ago

Extract the .rar file. Run setup.exe in the Inst6 folder

4. Once you have finished the installation process, log into the Square Enix Account Management System and register your expansion content. Please access the following page using your internet browser.

5. Once you are logged in, click on “Select Service” under “Services and Options” and then choose “PlayOnline / FINAL FANTASY XI”.

7. Select the service account to which you would like to register your expansion content. If you have multiple service accounts (PlayOnline ID) linked to a single Square Enix account, you must choose which service account you wish to register your expansion content.

8. You are now ready to play FINAL FANTASY XI with the expansion content of FINAL FANTASY XI: Seekers of Adoulin.
i. If you are already logged into PlayOnline or FINAL FANTASY XI, please log out. Logging back in will enable the expansion content you registered.

ok think i found my problem, SE charged the expansion to my account the day after i placed the order, i checked my bank account to make sure the next day. recently $40 just randomly popped up in my bank account again for no reason, and today i check my account history and there is no listing of Digital River billing me the $40 that showed up on my account history the day after i ordered it.

so my guess is they billed me, then negated the charge till the expansion goes live, thus why i couldn't actually download the game, at which point when the expansion went live i would have been billed. as there is no money in my account as of now cause of RL necessities i just cancelled the order so i don't get an over draft charge. check your bank accounts if you can't download it yet, this may be what the issue is.

It's an archive, extract it with 7zip or winrar.

Looking for the EU installer myself, using NA account on an EU install (old PS2 transition, whatever).

i dont see setup.exe, isee setup.isn though is that it?

I ordered over amazon.com, got a download link, downloaded and installed it, while also putting in the code on the SE account website, and I still get an error after logging in (expansion pack data has not been installed. You cannot enter areas that require the expanion pack data.)

No. You probably have extensions hidden. You should see three files with setup in the name. Does one not have an extension? That should be the one you want.

i think i got it now, just picked top option and a screen came up with the soa artwork and something was created so i suppose im good. sound right?

Is there any way to get the music box if you downloaded the expansion only(not ultimate)?
