Hi there. This is my first time posting, so I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place.
Has anyone had any issues when starting up FFXI on PS3? I'm getting a message saying "An error has occured during the start operation (80028F17)".
If anyone knows how to fix this, I would really appriciate the feedback. Thanks!

need to download the ps2 firmware off the PSN first inorder to put ps2 hdd software onto the ps3 hdd
I've been playing FFXI on my PS3 for about 2 years. Would this be just for the first time on PS3, or even now after 2 years?
you should have it already if you been playing on it for 2 years+ dunno the error code :/
Might need to reinstall the game, or if you can get onto POL, maybe check for DAT errors. I dunno really, I play on the PC :/

Yeah, when I called support, they basically told me that PS3 is not a supported platform, so they couldn't help me. =( Faythe said: Thanks everyone!
