Final Fantasy XI Seekers of Adoulin
hello all i hope someone can help me with a question about seekers of adoulin ^^; i live in the uk & can not find a wepsite that sell/pre-order the seekers of adoulin. i'v looked on the eu playonline & they got the abyssea pack up but the us site is selling the pack & i was hopping someone can tell me which site i can get the PAL pack of seekers of adoulin for pc & x-box
I would assume that they plan to have a Steam release for the PC across all regions when this goes out, similar to the past Abyssea / WotG bundles they've done. The issue might be that it'll be the $40 package.
I'd suggest waiting a bit, or possibly asking on the official XI forums to see what they reply with. I mean, it's a global launch for this expansion, so I'm sure they have some sort of strategy made up for how they'll be releasing it on your side of the pond. I did see it on Amazon UK before when it was announced but it's gone.
A month till release and I don't think they even have a price set for a UK release let alone a way to buy it. I think they just forgot about us =/

I'm just hoping that I will be able to find it in stores... I would rather not have to wait for a delivery if possible. ;;
donno if this was asked/answered but, if you got the game from steam do you gotta wait till they selling it or what? i clicked the preorder thing from adoulin site but it was asking for shipping info and stuff.
no PC version will be available in hard copy, only digital download as said by the reps at the official forums... Don't like that....

You would, yeah. Usually Steam will let you download the game closer to release, then give you permission to play it on the release date. I preordered the expansion for PC on Amazon. Their digital service worked well for the Abyssea Collection I used for my mule. Just gives you a zip file to download instead of possibly trying to manage stuff for you and screwing it up like Steam has done with FFXI recently. Wish they would give us the PC version in hard copy. I'm sure the US and rest of the world get hard copies in everything, and MORE choice especially with 360 discs. Why is the UK so forgotten and neglected? I don't want to download the expansion, I want a physical disc to go with my others.

I think you guys got physical releases of some titles that were digital only here. Arcana Heart 3 and Wipeout HD/Fury come to mind, there are probably more. We're not getting a physical PC release for SoA. Hitman Absolution didn't have one for PC, Tomb Raider didn't get one either. It seems like digital only on PC is the way SE is going as a publisher. I tend to buy physical copies if the title isn't heavily discounted, even if the game itself is Steamworks or whatever. So I empathize. Just sayin', it's not just your region. I am having this issue also living in Canada.
Amazon.ca doesn't have a pre order download available... Not sure what to do. Ordered mine off Amazon but Alot of my friends seem to be having this same issue in other countries. for those with this problem it seems is a digital download on your PC may be the only way to get it then when you log into xbox or ps3 you could play that content since its saved on the server. Least i would think this will work i may be wrong as you may need the SoA disc to run it.
The closer it gets to release day the more i get concerned about this, I personally would rather have a hard copy that I can install straight away like my 2008 collection I have for my other expansions etc. We're neglected again by SE just like every other time, pretty much sums SE up as a company now, bring back Squaresoft.

Use the US site instead and punch in a US shipping address. I had to change my one click to to the US as well before it would let me process it.

Edit: This was for the digital download version. Well that'll certainly give you a copy, but it'll be a US copy so it won't work if you have an EU account. SE's kept the US/JP version to their own websites and downloads so it's still region locked regardless for EU included. It seems they just simply forgot (Of course they wouldn't admit it) or they have issues with trying to get it licensed in Europe or something. What ever the cause may be they are certainly pushing it with the release near the 2 week mark. Edit: Other idea would be to just get the Xbox 360 version copy and use that code, Although you would still need to use another means in order to get Adoulin downloaded and installed. hmm i still dont see where EU can buy :/ for NA its on the Square enix page, and also linked in the Play online posting (like here on mainpage) but the EU pages still have nothing <.< or i just look in the wrong place?

Nope,EU still has nothing yet :( Watch us EU folk be able to purchase SoA day before the server/update goes live.
Why does it matter that we can't preorder anyway? It's just digital so can download the moment you buy even if it's on the same day.

Its nice to know that it will actually be available there and then and a *** up doesnt prevent people from playing it. I refer you to the Ni No Kuni EU PSN preorder incident (quick googling should show you what I mean) so i just bought 2x PC download of seekers. completed the order. got an email confirming i completed the order. when do i get the keys to register? does it not send those until the day of release?
All of SE's reg codes so far have been region locked. You need a code from the appropriate region. If the installer is like the past ones though, it'll be possible to use any copy to install any version with some simple registry edits.
