Very good day at work! ^^
CCL is back, she's fine from her fall down the stairs. She didn't break a thing, just pulled her arm out of socket and her left side from the waist down is one big bruise. She swears up and down she's all right. For a 62 year old who fell down a whole flight of steps, that's not too bad.
Someone screwed up something somewhere, so I have to remove two transistors from over 5 thousand boards and replace them with stronger transistors. Since surface mounting is my favorite, I'm pretty happy to sit in a corner and surface mount for the foreseeable future! Fix every single one of these boards? Well if you insist, sir! :D
My boss wants to make me the first every employee to bridge the gap between assembly and administration, he wants me to start re-working the SOP system using my degree for my technical writing. YAY! One of two things will happen with that. Either 1.) I will get experience with tech writing to put on my resume for future opportunities, or 2.) I'll do a good enough job that they eventually move me to administration permanently. Either way, YAY!
And I got a raise on my performance review. I was thinking maybe a 50 cent raise would be the norm. My boss gave me almost a two dollar raise per hour. That is unheard of for unskilled assembly work! I was shocked. I even interrupted everyone's regularly scheduled Tuesday yesterday with yays. :D
But bad for NC. He went home one day last week and his wife was packing to leave him. She went to live with her grandmother. He keeps begging her to go to marriage counseling. He loves her, they have a toddler daughter that he adores, and his wife is pregnant with another little girl. She refuses counseling, refuses to even speak to him. The guy is just devastated. :-( I feel awful. It makes it seem so horrible that just a couple weeks ago I was so darn mad at him for messing up flat cables and boards. Poor guy.
Anyways! How are you Josi? :D What did you think about tonight's episode? Think Weiss can handle that, or Ruby will come back for her?
