BLM Gear.

I need some Ideas on what to improve on for my BLM gear.

Healing, MP recovery



Any tips would be appreciated!

More int, MAB and an actual nuke staff(staves)

BLM isn't too hard to gear for since we don't need to care about resist at this point of the game.

For the love of god....Goetia is +2 refresh, why would you heal in v.cloak which is only +1 refresh?

Nares is great to have for nuking, and yes Magian Staves are nice.

There is no point in using the vermillion cloak when you have the goetia giving +2 refresh a tick and leaving your head slot open.

That cloak blew my mind.

To current date INT will out perform MAB so don't be to excited about high MAB peaces you see. Defiantly keep AF on for proc w/ conserve MP + the MaCrit from AF hands are hard to beat. with my set I average 8k nukes (thunder V thundaja) in abysea using Magian thunder aff staff. Outside spiking 8ks and average 4-6ks on mobs in meebles for instance. On day/weather use Obi/Twilight cape, magian staff will out perform Chatoyant staff unless under effect of Thunderstorm. If you don't have access to nares or VW content thencdo Meebles For Akasha chaps. Use AF3 wich is still very good. Scr.Belt. Int rings. MAB earrings. Pretty basic and easy to gear.

Please please any blms thinking of using MAB scythe or eradico mitts... DON'T. Af3 gloves and a even a NQ ele staff are better even if it is lower LV using scythe/eradico are gimp

BLMs should go back to sorc ring now that we're out of abyssea.

I actually tried to do this, but a hume with HP merits has too many compromises to make (inventory space being the biggest one). Sad.

So is this looking like the top nuke set now?



Add 6 mab for the 3/5 Morri+1 gives you 90mab and 59 INT

I have a MaB 3% + 2% crit hit dmg and a MaB 2% + 2% crit hit dmg daemon rings. My other option is a 7int and a 6int ring. Should I bother keeping the Demon rings or are they trash?

mine actually has +3 on it, and bg says max is +4

it would be nice to have but i hate that quest so much lol. with all the refresh, my total mp gained per tick is 56 from gear

What are your other sets if you don't mind me asking? I had to actually lose a lot of hmp gear just to be able to fit all my other sets in 80 slots. I do use sorc. ring (and won't go without until it is unnecessary for a top tier nuke set), so I do have a few Zenith pieces to proc it. I am finding now, however, that it can be more useful. Two shotting Umbrils is nice, but the down time is a bit longer than I like. A Fire V > Firaja does it pretty much every time. I do that twice then I have to sit for a couple minutes.

I dropped the grip, rings, and earring since they were the lowest hmp. I even dropped my +2 hmp stearc when I got Nares since Nares boosts my cures on BLM so much (this I can look into changing).

Maybe I am wrong, but I still just can't justify a top hmp set when it seems to require losing so much inventory space for other vital sets. Again, show me your other sets and let me see if maybe I can make some sacrifices.

Also, FYI, look into a Numen staff if you want to have a great hmp set. Adds 4 hmp to your chat. staff. You could lose both rings and the earring to make up for the loss if inventory space is an issue for you also.

with smn staves, magian staves for blm, and 12 99s, i think my Hmp set is as good as i can get it w/o nitpicking for every mp i can get. my damage set fell behind after 90 cap but i'm currently working on Morrigan +1 feet, hands, and body. if someone can tell me how to post an item set viewable in a thread, i can post my now gear and what i'm working toward, as well as my enfeebling set

I personally like the relic plus 2 set plus it looks rad
