Curious as to the process that you guys obtained these, currently working on my own and so far the best I've managed was stp+4 dblatt+2 with 40 or so tatters. My question is, did you guys run away if it wasn't exactly 45 0% impurity and not leaking. We HQ'd about 50% doing that today, however even w/ a capped synergist, the perfect 45, 0 impurity and no leaking still only got 1 HQ3 and it was garbage. Any tips into the synergy part?

Wtf, no whining yet? 416 augment attempts for my 6 STP/3 DA.
Glad I don't play those jobs. :p That doesn't sound fun.
Sucks more, cause it's earthen tatters. ;-;
Exactly what I was getting at! So expensive. ;_;

Don't forget about needing to have perfect augmented valkyrie breastplate too :(
I'm pretending SAM needs to spend a decent amount on tatters also. Thrown 400 at my Shura +1 head so far; no random pool STR on neither NQ nor HQ1-3 ;_; Beginning to think it just won't happen on Shura Kabutos :( On the bright side, that only cost as much as 10 Earthen Tatters! Go SAM ( '-')

You'll rarely fail an armada synth as the synth is quite easy, and that is having perfect conditions for all my augments. I know there's no proof that things like impurity have any effect on HQ rate, but I figure it couldn't hurt.

My hauberk has a badass MP augment.

I've been blowing some gil on trying to get a better random stat pool augment, but that's not the easiest thing to do.

I don't understand why you have the bullwhip belt...or is it an idle set?

BUT that's a really nice augment.

Nothing wrong with using Bullwhip instead of a Phos. The elemental resistance shouldn't be a problem because you should have a -DT% set ready to go for any noteworthy spells. Same logic applies with Rancor items.

You can get the same augments on shadow gauntlets for double attack, according to bg, but I had to have the white box.
Are you sure it's not triple attack.

It's not the same as Rancor items because switching to Phos belt can only help you, not hurt you. Switching rancor will make your damage go down, while switching to phos belt will give you
Def: +8 Hp +75 and no - stats

Bottom line, get a phos belt if you can afford it.

Neither should be in a DT set anyways. Only place Phos is that much better is in a hybrid DT/TP set.

That's true, I like it for when I am too slow to switch to a DT (it happens, and there are times i'm at like 10 HP when it does), and technically it's "better" so I must have it.

Somebody please tell me what the hell you guys are doing to get nice augments on your Armadaberks.

So far, I've spent 37M in Earthen Tatters @80k each. The best augments I've managed to get are:

I've had many different Lv80 Synergists trying all different types of fewel feeds while reducing impurities to 0%, on all sorts of days, during just about every moon phase.

Is their ANY formula to this madness, or is it really just a great big crapshoot?

It's a crapshoot. You have about a 1% chance of getting the max forced augment per synergy with a level 80 synergist. Then, on top of that, you're looking for a specific random-pool augment (Store TP).

Beautiful. Sounds just like SE's random number generator to me.

I'm pretty sure Store TP isn't a random pool augment. Wouldn't that be more like STR or ACC?

I personally got my augment in 11 tatters, but I keep wasting gil on trying to get a better random stat on it.

^This. It's definitely not a random. Have seen lots of Store TP come up in my augments (but never higher than 3). Accuracy/STR/DEX are definite randoms. Have never had STR or DEX come up, but Accuracy did come up once (on a crap-tastic augment).

On Siren, I've seen someone donning an Armadaberk with Accuracy +4, Store TP +6, and Double Attack +3. Have yet to see a STR augment though. A friend of mine has DEX on his, but it's the only one I've found with it.

I'm pretty sure Byrth was talking about the common augment pool of the Armadaberk, which is sTP/SB etc. c:

Well, after another million in Earthen Tatters, I got this:

Not quite "Dbl.Atk."+3, but at least now I have a true 6 hit.

I parsed these vs Phorcys and the 3DA/7str ones. They came out on top over both of them with restraint down. I haven't tried legion or Odin V2 yet but that'll come soon. Still not the best they could be but I'll deal for now.
