It's supposed to take place at the end of Dragon Ball Z. If you remember, there was a 10 year gap between Goku beating Majin Buu and the World Tournament where he meets Uub and flies off to train. So someplace in that 10 year gap is where this will be.

It's kind of weird. He's got the eyes of an SSJ3 (and the same black outline around his eyes as Vegeta) but still has his eyebrows. I guess he found some kind of middle ground.
