Has everything you need. Match the element from the first property, then from the second property to create the listed SC. Ignore the SC names, instead look at the colours to determine the spells.
Ex: Reverberation = Stone > Water or Luminohelix > Water
Detonation = Noctohelix > Aero or Stone > Aero or Thunder > Aero
on that note, there is something definetly borked with helix, either a cap on the "tocs" or something because wether I did 20k or 43k it still did either 3/4/5% per toc. Not sure whats really happening under the hood of Helix and its "tocs"
Tychefm already "tested" Helix and found out there's a cap of around 10k per toc.
There were some tests (and someone else confirming his finding) on BG a few weeks ago.
Which kinda means that uberly strong helixes are nice for the initial hit, but won't affect the successive tocs =/
Tbf it's good for things to be this way. A >40k initial hit would be way too broken, wouldn't it?
Well, excluding NMs who can heal themselves from the helix DoT effect of course.
On a side note:
Tora solo some Oryx for me! I need a second Herculean helm! :P
That, ad you still owe me a Grioavolr :3

"Tested" is the right word. I put it out there as a theory and noone seemed to agree or do further tests. Good to see that someone else noticed strange behaviour.
Should be very easy to test on qutrubs or volatile matamata or something along those lines. Maybe I'll try it out this weekend when I have a bit more time.
the VW Qutrub in Arrapago has a lot of HP but he ain't an ilevel one.
Don't think ilevel Qutrubs exist, it's a ToAU typical NM and that expansion didn't receive any ilevel treatment so far.
lolCoeus rank 15 confirmed to be Macc+50, Mab+10, FC+5%.
Useless =/
Guess the macc+50 can make it semiuseful if you don't have an augmented Grioavolr or any of those top weapons, but all in all it's pretty ***.
Was hoping for some job specific enhancment but it seems these augments only have "standard" stats
So I went into Abyssea and Helixed Kur to death a few times. Safe bet that Helix tocks do indeed cap at 10,000.
Helix did 11,862 damage, and dropped him 19% HP
Each tock took 16%~ off
Kur has roughly 60,000HP.
11,862/60,000= 0.1977
10,000/60,000= 0.1666
I tried to test on Dimgruzub, the VW qutrub, but he has too much HP lol but it still looked capped
SC/MB did 130k damage and dropped him to 96%, 55k helix MB took off another 1%~, and then it took 3-4 tocks for him to fall one more percent. I couldn't get a good read on it because my internet started to die, but it was about 30+ seconds between a percentage drop.
Anybody ever calculated the +macc augment threshold at which Merlinic legs start being better than Psycloth Lappas for debuffs?
If you sum up pure macc+enfeebling skill Psycloth have a lot of overall "macc", but Merlinic have a *** more INT, which other than just potency should convert into macc as well, at a certain ratio according to your target.
Atm I have merlinic legs with 30 macc/mab and I'm using them for debuffs, but I'm trying to change the augments so I can get a higher Magic Burst bonus on them (currently 1%...).
Unless you have some nice INT augments on Merlinic, they actually only have 3 more INT and also have 2 less MND. If your current augments are 30 macc/MAB, then they should be basically the same for INT based enfeebles when compared to Psycloth, but Psycloth should win for MND, but only slightly.
Uh... no. Aside from MND potency Chironic is the winner in every possible situation, period. And even when you're considering MND it's just 1 point above Psycloth, which hardly matters and I'm ruling out MND augments atm.
Still, once more, while I apreciate your input I was comparing Psycloth to Merlinc here, not Chironic ^^'
Guess I kinda picked the wrong forum though, wanted to ask it for GEO but I kinda came to the SCH subforum, I apologize for that °_°
What exactly are we even discussing here? You dismissed Chironic so I made comparisons between Merlinic and Psycloth...then you brought Chironic back into consideration. I don't know what's going on.
Legs option for GEO... in the SCH thread lol.
Posted in the wrong forum.
And I misread your previous post, thought you were still talking about Chironic.
Or did you edit your post? Either that or I just simply misread it, I'm sorry :D
That's assuming that Modus doesn't go past that 10k cap though.
That would require more testing in theory but with the landing rate of Modus I'm not sure it's worth it lol
I'll do some more definitive stuff once my internet is a bit more stable. I'll ask a GEO friend to tag along to boost the initial helix so that it's more obvious, and see if I csn get an answer on Modus as well.
I just didn't want to ask a favor and then crash out or get inconclusive data. Standby
