SE was busy as hell when I did mine. So it was like 10-11 weeks~. The actual rollback took like 1-2 weeks in that time though.
3 months. No joke.

I have never done a rollback but from friends' experiences that have done one in FFXI when I played, the shortest waiting period one had was 1 week, and the longest was around 3 to 4 months.
And, to prevent any hacking, or minimize it, as another person said, security token is your best bet. (There is another more extreme way-- OSX or Linux with WINE installed and install FFXI through that. Majority of the keyloggers won't run or install on Linux or OSX anyhow. Lol. Parallels for OSX is another good one to use, VMware Fusion as well.) Also don't expect everything back. Random Rare-ex's i had to re-obtain (beneficus). 2 and a half months for me, who ever took my acct must get hit with a cactus!
 mines was taking so long over 3 weeks and still going. i just stop it and farmed my stuff back. the time i got hacked

3 Weeks and only got a mail from SE asking for some details like if I changed my password recently and If I ever had access to my account...

iirc it took me a month, that was with the investigation and my account was locked during that period, it might have been 2 months, but im pretty positive it was just one.
My investigation took about 4 to 5 weeks and the rollback took about 1 week best I could tell. Your account is locked for NO PLAY during that time(best I recall). I since purchased the token and am glad I did. I lose everything that was on market or in transit/store in InBox. Luckily it was only about 250K of regular gear and crafting stuff mostly. The token helps with larger storage and security on SE website too.
