Just FYI, I was able to fix my GS. It was assuming I had the Hachi-no-obi, which I don't, and I was able to insert the fixed obi code into my LUA file.

Hi! I'm also a returning COR, and I'm using the popular one everyone seems to reference found here:

https://github.com/Kinematics/GearSwap-Jobs/blob/master/COR.lua

In game, if I type "/con gs equip <pdt>" it tells me the set doesn't exist, but I (I think) see it right there in the .lua file. How does one equip a single set when they choose to?

//gs equip sets.defense.PDT

I'm sure this was answered somewhere in the 79~ pages but what are thoughts on Fotia for Leaden/Wildfire? No one has them in their sets, but the WS's have fTP and would get the fTP increase from those, right? And then 2% chance to not use TP. How big is the damage trade off between Fotia and MAB pieces?

My understanding is that the Acc from fotia offers nothing for WF/Leaden since they're magical WS's, and the MAB options available will beat the fTP boost you gain from fotia

This is one of the most, if not the most, up to date guides. It is also very accurate (aside form personal preferences on things).

Not trying to say it's not. But my question was about whether the 2% chance of being able to repeat a WS instantly vs the damage boost of MAB. Obviously max damage is going to be the MAB route as per the guide states, but is it a 100 difference? 500 difference? That is going to change how much I seek to utilize an obi (which I'd need to farm) or MAB gear in its place.

Obi w/ single weather or day is a 10% boost. You'd sacrifice 10% of your damage to get 1 extra ws in 100. The neck is just 10 mab, I'm not sure how much that would lower your damage seeing as that varies with your other gear and what you're fighting. In terms of total damage, take .01 of your damage without neck and see what you get and if it would beat wearing 10 mab full time.

@Rodolfo thank you very much! Sorry it's kind of a silly question, but I appreciate it nonetheless :)

No one uses Chatoyant. There just isn't a place where you're spamming magic only, you're either meleeing or shooting. And if you're shooting it inherently means the target is dangerous and highly evasive, thus you might prefer ilvl weapons for the extra macc.

97% or so certain that I can eyeball and pretty much assume, but do we have any numbers crunched on when, if, and what augments on Taeon beat out the otherwise best-in-slots for Leaden Salute/Wildfire?

I've been playing corsair very, very little since the Skirmish update because on this current content, when you smallman content, corsair is one of the first jobs to get cut or relegated to mule status. -.-;

For Leaden Pixie is unbeatable. Body doesn't get good enough for ws with mab alone, hands only need 8 mab, pants 18, feet 16.
If you can pair ws dmg with mab then you obviously need less but exact value requires too much math than I am willing to do right now.
Either way hands are the easiest piece to surpass Nilas, body the hardest cause you can't go higher than 20 so you need ws dmg.

Yeah. Well, like I said. I can eyeball most stuff, just wondering if there's actually any math already out there, as I'm pretty lazy about it too.

I have +3% WSD and +16 MAB on my body, but have had pretty shitty luck with the rest so far. And I (mostly) only use NQs or stones I farm up myself, so.

How long are your rolls lasting? Reading the reforged empy thread and some people are mentioning 11min+ on them. I'm in the 6-7min range with 109 empy hands, though. Wondering if my gearswap isn't functioning correctly...

That was hypothetical. The AF3+2 non-ilvl hands gave a +10% boost to PR. So I assumed that the +50 on the ilvl hands would give +50% which would equate to a 12min roll.

Sadly it is still +10% so with capped Winning Steak (+1:40min w/ 5/5 merits), AF2 head augment (+30sec w/ 5/5 Winning Streak), PR Job Points (+20secs w/ 10/10) = 7:30min + 10% = 8:15min

Pursuer's Beret Path D is:

Ratt+(1-15)
Enmity -
Subtle Blow +

Seeing as no path offers RACC, I have chosen Path B (+7DEX +10AGI +15recycle)

STR+22 AGI+38 Ratt+23 Marksmanship+15 STP+5 seems to be BiS for shooting and Last Stand unless you need max racc, which AF3+1 would make a nice option to switch to.

I haven't "mathed" anything out, just looking at it atm.

is MAAB the best to augment for cor?

I thought Last stand does more dmg, guess it is situational?

It is situational. Last Stand should be used only if your enemy resists magic or darkness and you're not concerned about generating too much hate.

9.9 times out of 10, Leaden will outperform Last Stand by a long shot.

ok but only if you pump 30-40 mil + into augments for Leaden correct?

I am a bit cheap atm and I see that just getting AGI on gear seems much easier then all the MAAB Augs you will need,

The set in the OP will still allow you to pump out excellent Leaden damage, and that's without augmented Taeon. With hands, legs, and feet with 20 MAB and 3% WSD, it will go even higher. If you don't want to augment, the Pursuer's cuffs have a native 20 MAB on them, and the Rawhide Vest comes with an absurd 25. You can easily function well using Pixie, Rawhide, Pursuer's, AF legs and relic feet and save all the money from augmenting.

are you guys 1 shotting acumex's in Woh Gates with Leaden?

I do Cp there on twithertyms and see blm's there a lot. Only problem I see is that everything is VT/ IT. Cruious what leaden does for dmg.

I want to get CP on cor but thought it might be a bit slow compared to 18-25 job points an hour on Sam or Thf.

Yes, you can 1 shot the acuex's in woh with leaden - the damage is quite high (like 30k+ but I think that might have been with 3k TP). Are there a lot more of them somewhere in woh aside from the two by the worms? On my server I see a lot of shouts at night for CP parties that want a COR. Seems like you'd get better CP in a group at the moment so long as they are competent.

Acuex are incredibly weak to fire. I mean 15k+ easily.

And COR should really be in a party, as they're incredibly desired. Corsair's roll makes or breaks a good CP party, so everybody wants one.

Both acuex and umbril are oneshot material for cor, and even in case of an occasional resist you can fix it with a QD!
