For those interested in Souls-Like games, here is a list of games I've been keeping track of that have some, if not heavy Dark Souls inspiration.

Nioh
Platform: PlayStation 4
Modes: Single-player & Multiplayer
Release Dates: TBA
Developer: Team Ninja
Publisher: Koei Tecmo
Producer: Kou Shibusawa

Notes: Basically Samurai Souls but has it's own unique elements that make it very interesting and exciting to see.

This actually looks very interesting, I think I might give this a try.

I think I've run into all kin da of gankers, and I don't even invade a lot. I just do it to farm covenant items. It's like 99% of the time, the realm I invade is a group of gankers'.

The lowest I've come across was these two guys who seemingly were setting up a fight club after the Pontiff bonfire. The host pretends to be overseeing matches when a 3 rd phantom (i.e. a red phantom waiting for his turn) is present, and ganks whenever there are only 2 phantoms (his buddy + the victim).

I completed my third play-through and got all the non-covenant specific rings and spells....so now the fun begins...

So I completed Warrior's of Sunlight and tried a bit of Darkmoon and it's absolutely terrible, I'd heard summoning was bad in Darkmoon/Blue Sentinels but Jesus H Christ, from what I've read, they rely on someone being part of Way of Blue getting invaded which is super dumb, just let us get pulled in to defend people who get invaded, give Darkmoon priority on Aldrich invaders.

So as a result of that I'm farming Concords off silver knights so with that in mind, would it be better to stick on Aldrich or Watchdogs to kill 2 birds with one stone?

Nah, keep your Darkmoon on. The Aldrich and Watchdogs covenant items are also farmable on monsters, and their drop rate is much higher. If you are serious about getting the Darkmoon Blade Miracle, then you will be farming silver knights for a long time. Any summoning to help someone will help tremendously, and if you happen to get lucky, you could knock out quite a lot of the items needed in one summoning(if you get summoned into a world with multiple invaders and they are AFs, you can get up to 8 Ears in one summoning but it would be tremendously lucky, most I ever got was 3).

We should pvp sometime Zeig
I'd love to, but considering where we both live, it's gonna be a terrible experience. They haven't installed fiber where I live yet, so using poverty internet is all I can do.

And I haven't made a pvp character yet.

About to finish NG+ full-timing thw Darkmoon covenant, and I was never summoned even once.

Got invaded last night looking for a NPC near that giant skeleton boss..

Used my GS's dodge spin attack and cut the bridge while he was running at me.. hit him and the ropes knocking him down the chasm...

Had an interesting situation with that bridge, got invaded by a mound maker who on seeing me proceeded to run, so I gave chase, then he ran across the bridge, I knew the moment he did that what he was gonna do but I tried to make it anyway, ended up just falling as I reached the edge with him waving as I fell to my death...

...but I didn't die, I survived the fall and climbed the bridge ladder, of course he would have been well aware I didn't die and he buffed himself with lightning as I approached, after dodging the first hit I whacked him a couple times and then he started rolling away from me...right off the edge where the bridge had been but with his lower health he didn't survive the drop.

FYI getting summoned suuuuuuuuuuuuuucks. I think I'm overleveled at this point, will I get summoned to a NG+4 person or will I have to go into NG+4 before that will happen?

Might try Rosaria's Fingers for a bit.

Stop penetrating their world then! And just put down your red sign.

Honestly, I don't understand people summoning like three phantoms for every area for actually playing the game. I understand summoning three phantoms for ganking, but how bad are you if you need phantoms to clear the levels.

Or with friends I understand lol but randoms

I don't think I can plat this game! Concords man, farming them is not something I'm up for.

Would it be advisable to do the other covenants and then do a new character and do Darkmoon/Blue Sentinel's then? I'm imagining a higher chance of there being Way of the Blue players when you're a lower level.

I suppose that could work, but your chances won't really astronomically improve.

Give it a whirl though.

Ok I'm sick of putting down a summon sign, too many people turn it into a *** fight club, I'll never get covenant items that way.

Yes that's one problem. You need to kill the same host for pale tongues, not phantoms.

As for concords, I'm wondering if three people (a host, an invader, and a darkmoon) setting up a password will force the Darkmoon to be summoned, lol. Sounds boring as hell, but might be tolerable with friends..
