What Setting To Play Ff11 On My Screen

Hello I recently return to game from break, got new pc and monitor to play game but finding hard to set the right setting , either text is stretched or too small, or screen and is stretch, what setting would need to set for overlay graphics, menu resolution, and background

my screen is 23.5 inch full hd 1920x1080 is the resolution

any suggestions would help thanks

Are you playing full screen? and what are your graphics settings for ffxi?

background?

Wiki has a pretty good guide to getting FFXI setup for optimal graphics and resolution. If you have a decent video card, you may as well oversample for premium quality and appearance.

Menu > Config > Misc. 2

Change background ratio, probably have it on 4:3.

Thanks for fast replys guys hm idk i was trying mutiple setting but didnt work things kept getting streched and i read that guide on wiki make sense but i cant double my resolution as suggested as the setting doest go that high, my first thought was make all setting 1920x1080 but thar isnt the case lol... And i play on window mode graphic card i got is nivida gt 570 if that helps, just wanna play dam game at best setting with new comp.. Will change setting to 4.3 and see if that helps when get the chance not comp now

For some reason when I try to play on 1600 x 900, which is my screen resolution, my Background Overlay(I think, the first option) resets to like 800 x 600, I am assuming this is whats making ***look so zoomed out, but the graphics end up undermatched anyway, so I just play on 800 x 600, not that I really care, but I am curious why this happens, I wouldn't mind playing on 1600 x 900, also if being really zoomed out(HP MP mad small etc etc) is changeable with that I'd like to know

assuming your game is set to same resolution as monitor, aspec ratio under config should be 16:9, not 4:3. 1920x1080 is a 16:9

iirc Windower will override game settings, so it's probably a good idea to check what it's set to in it's config.
