You can only reenter for helping someone else afaik and not sure if MG is learnable in that fight.

I'm currently 2% from the DW cap and would have to sacrifice my windbuffet+1 to reach cap. Is it worth it?

I can adjust other slots not to go over cap but was just curious about waist. Thanks for the answers.

If you're changing multiple pieces, the answer would ultimately depend on the full extent of swaps in all slots to compare the net gain/loss of stats. Can't really say for sure just by comparing waist-waist swap. I'm sure people here can give advice knowing the full changes, but not without more information.
How'd you manage to get 2 away from cap anyway? A little bit of an unusual number for BLU. You should be setting at least DW3 anyway, so you'd normally be looking at haste capped requirement of DW+11 (for DW3) or DW+6 (for DW4). Lots of DW+5 pieces, so I'm guessing maybe you have something like DW3 and using one DW+5 piece plus maybe Eabani DW+4? If that's the case, ditch Eabani, you're better off with two DW+5 pieces with other offensive benefits besides just the DW (Adhemar body, Suppa, Carmine legs, etc.). Of course, I'm making a huge assumption here, could be a bunch of oddball ways you end up with a somewhat unusual amount of DW (say, Reisenjima dark matter augments).

Correct, suppa+eabani. Lacking jovian body, could use taeon boots I guess but got close to perfect aug on herc feet so idk.

Ahhh... Yeah, in that case, Suppa/Brutal (or maybe Suppa/Cessance or Suppa/Dignitary's, depending on Acc needs) and Shetal makes sense and may slightly edge out the Suppa/Eabani/Windbuffet+1 combo. It's close though, going to depend a bit on buffs, target, other gear, etc.
Even better, Suppa + Carmine D legs if you have those (DW+10, so 1 under cap), and keep another non-DW earring and Windbuffet+1. Carmine legs look even better if you don't have max Samnuha Tights and/or where the higher Acc of Carmine is useful.
And of course, once you get Adhemar body, that will make things a whole lot easier for DW gearing since it has excellent stats in addition to the DW. Probably still wise to live with 1 DW under cap though (Adhemar + no other DW gear if you're using DW4 trait, Adhemar+Suppa if you're using DW3), just by virtue of the DW options we have access to.

In lieu of Adhemar body, you may want to just take a look at what spells you have set and if they're necessarily helping you more than just getting 5 DW with set points.

In regards to the Tati Earring +1. I was debating buying one of these, and using 1 Vulcan Earring(4 STR), since I've yet to figure out a solution to GS not equipping 2 of the same item in different slots for some unknown reason. So would rather have 1 Tati and 1 Vulcan's, and knowing they both equip, than having 2 Tati...just for only one to equip during a swap.
I've never had anyone on the forums, all this time, ever come up with a solid solution for this issue, nor has anyone directly attempted to figure out why GS will not deviate the two items.
Is it worth the 9-10m Price Hike? Or would just validating leveling Bone on a mule be better...since it only costs roughly 200k a synth on Carbuncle. I'm sure it'd cost less to make a +1 than it is being sold for. Considerably less.

Have you tried adding the 2nd earring at the botton of your gear list? One earring at the top and one at the bottom.
I know it sounds stupid, but that's how I managed to fix the issue of duplicate items with windower scripts. Might be a similar issue with GS.
By KnifeKatRengar 2016-03-29 05:25:32
I can try it, but right now I don't have duplicate items for BLU.
I have 2 SkullRenders for BST. I might test it out later with that.
But I would absolutely want two things in the earring slot to test with, so I know it would fix the Earring problem.
Thank you for the suggestion. I'll let you know if it works when I try it today.
Anyone else's insight is appreciated as well.
I'd feel even more stupid if the new content that comes along, has something better for earrings...and spending 20m on 2 earrings would just be completely irrelevant.
That is money I could spend on a RME.

Fair point that it's worth looking at getting more DW through trait. But worth noting that unless you have a well augmented Herculean body (not something I assume everyone has access to), Adhemar is probably your best body option anyway thanks to the rest of the stats on it (Acc/Atk/TA/attributes). Might be able to go with that alone for your DW gear and also free up a different slot.

Gearswap uses a fixed equip order (Spellcast did too iirc) unless you start messing with equip priority. Rings/earrings should be near the start and end of the list by default, so it wouldn't make much difference

Misunderstood you a little bit, thought you were suggesting choosing between Adhemar (which, if you have it, is something you'll only want to give up for a great Herc body) and setting a higher trait. In any case, still applicable to him once he does have Adhemar, or anyone else reading who is in the situation.
For anyone not using Adhemar Jacket:
If Acc is a concern, DW3 with Suppa and Carmine D legs is prob the best bang for your DD buck. Definitely so if you don't have max or very close Samnuha legs.
If you're Acc capped, Suppa and setting DW4 does probably look like best choice if you can spare the set points - good call, Kyte. If you're using DW3, I played with spreadsheets and Suppa+Shetal does come out strong too, barely edging out Suppa+Eabani & Windbuffet+1 combo in most situations I tried (close enough that either one works fine though).

Capped gear haste is 256/1024 (25%).
Capped magic haste is 448/1024 (43.75%).
Erratic Flutter is 307/1024 (29.98%).
Capped gear+magic haste is 704/1024 (68.75%).
Capped gear haste + Erratic Flutter is 563/1024 (54.98%).
Total delay reduction = (1-haste)*(1-DW)
You can rearrange this equation to isolate DW: 1-(total/(1-haste))
Plug in 0.2 as your total delay reduction, use whatever quantity of haste you have, and solve.
Capped gear+magic: 1-(0.2/(1-0.6875))=0.36
Capped gear+EF: 1-(0.2/(1-0.5498))=0.5558
DW3 is 25% DW, so assuming 1200 JP you're looking at 11 DW to cap with capped magic haste and ~30 DW with just Erratic Flutter. Best to err slightly low, rather than high, in order to avoid losing too much TP/hit.
Samba with capped magic haste puts you well past cap even with no DW gear.
None of the sets in the OP exceed 11 DW. Adhemar+1 and Suppa is 11, Reiki and Eabani is 11, Adhemar and Suppa is 10, Suppa and Shetal is 10.
What would be DW cap for non capped magic haste? Assuming dw4 is set in spells with max job points.

You're going to have to be more specific as to how much magic haste you have. The formula will answer your question regardless, though.

55% haste you say?

Hello,
Figured this might be a good place to ask. I am new to blue mage. I have all the "must have" spells that the thread talked about, my gear is getting up there, and I am enjoying the job!
I am using blu to farm ARII salvage. On the farming floor, how much should subduction be doing? I am getting around 2.7k per mob, but I swear people say they are getting 4-5k.
I am at work right now but I can post my gear when I get home.

Doesn't really matter tbh in there a couple more subductions aren't going to add much time onto the run. I honestly can't remember how much mine were doing as I haven't played in nearly a year. 2.7k sounds like you are casting with swords on or lower end gear.
