Thinking Of Starting BLM, Advice?

I'm thinking of starting BLM, only thing is I've played NIN/DRK.
Wondering what Im going to have to do to start playing it.

not playing a mage job, none of the skill/jobs are leveled

Subjobs; RDM BRD SCH WHM
Skills; elemental, darkness, enfeebling, brd skill
Merits?

Not really sure so help would be great

Atma of the ultimate is nice too if you have experience in sea.

Merit wise, I have mine into elemental, enfeebling, and enhancing. I also play all the mage roles, so these seemed pretty standard and necessary for me.

Jos hit the nail on the head with so much of it. I'm still partial to /rdm, even tho I swear by /sch on whm and rdm.

One thing that I could not live without and I laugh at myself for not working on it sooner is a fast cast set. The higher tier spells take forever and a day to cast if you do not precast in fast cast. It helps in Aby proccing when timing is everything. The only thing I have to remember now, is when to start casting for magic bursts, because what used to be my timer doesn't work anymore.
