It's just dwarfed by its own expectations of having an ODD.

This is infuriating.
Repeating with 501 attack vs EM bluffs, I'm not getting anything anomalous whatsoever, as far as I can tell.

Maybe you're attack-capped? If it modifies your attack, then by being capped there'd be no anomalies.

There are 3 possibilities:
1.) Saber Dance has a small chance to give the attack boost we theorized (my repeat test is with 0% double attack, so no saber dance)
2.) ODSD only works on Double/Triple Attacks
3.) ODSD doesn't function on EM or below.
I aborted this test at 482 attacks because I saw nothing unusual.
(I have CAB+5 from body)

I have capped fSTR either way, and +10 attack wouldn't produce the variance that we saw.

1 & 3 can be answered if you re-do the first test without Saber Dance.
2 could be tested with DA/TA atmas.

I don't have this dagger (and probably won't get it with my luck) but i find it fascinating that there are those who really break stuff down so that players can understand how some of this games mysterious actually work....
Although I don't have this dagger I appreciate the time and effort it took into researching this weapon.

I seem to remember you saying you don't have Lux Pugio. That'd be a good compare and contrast since it doesn't have the ODSD, but is nearly identical.

For conclusions on the data in this thread

It's about time we figure out what this thing is doing. It doesn't appear to do ANYTHING versus too weak mobs, so I'm guessing it's somehow messing with pDIF somehow.
With this in mind, I collected some data. I went out and hit a bunch of LV100 Bluffalo in A-Uleguerand Range with regen atmas equipped.

Here's the non-crit in a pretty chart form:
Wearing this, no sambas up (although it shouldn't have mattered anyway)
I had absolutely no sources of double damage.
Looks sort of like it could have a ~3% rate of doubling your attack (or perhaps calculating as if your attack is capped, in this case, it's impossible to tell the difference between the two).
Edit: Please don't assume that IS what it's doing. I don't know yet. There are people who can probably look at this and figure out more what's going on more easily than I can. :)
Looks like it has a ~3% rate of doing something regarding pDIF equations.
It's not a direct damage multiplier, and it's not necessarily a direct boost to attack.
