How does Farsha with AM3 and Calamity spam stand up with Naegling spam on both WAR and BST and what's some solid Calamity/Cloudsplittin' builds for both?

I am (slowly) trying to get all my mules up to level 99 to do trove. They are all on the same account so dualboxing is out of the question. Which of the current login campaign ciphers are worth getting? Assume I only ever have 4 trusts at a time and my focus is leveling a war.
First DPS slot should always be Shantotto II for 300 points this month, she's literally twice as good as any other DPS trust in the game (the one time I parsed random leveling sessions she was doing 60%, so she might actually be 3x as good?)

Next three slots go to one tank, one healer, one more dps:
Valaineral is the best tank because he opens encounters with Uriel Blade to be a dps too, and he's free from RoE starter objectives
Apururu and Yoran-Oran both are lightyears better than any non-Unity healer option before Monberaux, both free from joining a Unity which you have to do anyway for Silver Vouchers - if you time out for the week and lose them, login still doesn't get you anyone significantly better than Kupipi for low-level use
Semih Lafihna is free at Rank 3 and gets Sidewinder at level 1 so she'll be second best dps basically always

Even if you did get the fifth slot, you would just use either Zeid II or Halver, who are free with RoV 1-17 and Rank 3 respectively, since Zeid hits like a truck and Halver gets Penta Thrust like Semih gets Sidewinder.

If you care about them long-term, get them all for the +trust level key items eventually, but the 100 pointers are all borderline useless. The only niche cases I've ever used any of them for are Ullegore/Teodor, who never miss with melee attacks no matter how underleveled you are, and Karaha-Baruha, who is a healer who also casts Haste 1 but heals way less well than the Unity trusts over long durations.

tl;dr: Shantotto2 at all times levels 1-98, 300 points this month, don't skip her, ignore everything else for your use case

Ygnas may not be available to a lot of players but he deserves a mention here as well, as a WHM who will cast Haste. Even though I'm in Yoran's unity, I use Ygnas for leveling jobs for that reason.

My usual loadout is Valaineral, Semih, Shantotto2, Ygnas, and Zeid (1 not 2).

I did not know about Halver getting Penta Thrust early, may have to try him instead of Zeid one of these days...

Farsha is a monster with AM3 up. I used it on Kalunga25 and the mob just melted. The downside is putting up AM3.

Anyone have suggestions for mobs with easy access, loads of HP and no abilities to interupt you (knockback, stun, paralyze...) for testing purposes?

VW Qutrub has stun and dispel, whats the testing

You could do like UNM garbage gel (but your trusts will get smoked)

Pretty much every nm has either stun knockback dispel or paralyze, there aren't many that have none.

Could do something like the Ceizak wamoura out in the field and make sure it stays debuffed so it can keep healing itself, depending what your goal is.

For that matter, apex frogs can't do a damn thing. They are training dummies lol.

Not a ton of hp though, but fast respawn.

The apex mobs in promy zones are tanky as hell but not sure about para and the like. It's been a while since I dabbled in there.

Just some skillchain timings.

different question: how do single resists compare to magic evasion and resists to particular debuffs?

If I had to guess I'd assume 10 light resistance is equal to 10 meva but is restricted to just light alligened spells. What about partiuclar debuff resistance, are those % values? If I'd wear for instance shamash robe + Etiolation Earring, assuming there is no cap, would that equal to 105% resistance to silence?

If that's the case and you only want resistance against a particular debuff I guess it be save to assume that the omen bodies are still BiS for their respective resistance but is solemnity cape with it's 15 charm resistance better than a 20 meva ambu cape or a unmoving collar +1 better than a carrier's sash?
Is there a rule of thumb?

"Resists" act as a full block, while meva is more of a general dodge chance ranging from partial to full in the case of debuffs, on regular mobs if you can stack the resist rate high enough like in the case of silence gear, then it'd probably fare better than raw meva as afaik it caps at 100%. But on NM's you'd need double that value as resist+ gear is halved, so instead of 100 you'd need 200.

In this scenario its better to just ride as much meva as possible and use resist+ as a secondary as you likely wont hit much more than 25% on most things, meva also obviously applies to everything magically aligned vs resist+ being specific status'

does +resistance to a particular status effect also reduce the duration of the debuff if it goes thru or only chance to resist it completely?

Asking to optimize for esurient botulus, he's more of a thread to my runs than dhartok is.

If you're resisting it at all, you should generally prefer m.eva. Most formulas put 1-2 m.eva at 1% when you are above the floor, but below the ceiling. If you're basically never resisting, you might be below the floor and shouldn't bother with m.eva. If you're above the ceiling, or feel like you might be, you're getting hit so infrequently you probably shouldn't care about resist status gear. If you are positive you're above the ceiling, adding resist status does increase the chances past that by giving you a seperate 'resist!' roll.

Pieces like omen bodies with extreme amounts of resist stat+ are still useful, but most are just not enough to matter. As Nariont said, they are also halved against NM (Resist Charm+15 is only a 7.5% chance to resist charm, while an ambuscade cape with 20 m.eva is 10-20% while above floor).

Elemental stat resist is, at the very least, used in a different step of the calculation than m.eva. I don't think anyone has conclusively proven whether they are equal potency, but the tiers of possible resist change when you are at negative, neutral, or positive elemental resist. So, for this reason, you should always aim to have at least +1 resistance to something you are concerned about. The pieces with +resistance to all elements are really nice for idle, as a result.

For Botulus specifically, easier to stun lock him than try to resist the charm.

Have mages with /blm or /drk stun, couple people on flat blade duty.

Magic Evasion resists are different from Resist! traits. From the testing that I've done, Resist! traits are checked first before magic evasion and cause a total resist to the status effect. Some Resist! traits cover similar debuffs like Resist! Silence (Silence & Mute) or Resist! Slow (Slow & Elegy). They cap at 90% but are cut in half on NMs. However, you can stack to 180 to cap it at 90% on NMs. I'm unsure of whether or not they affect duration. Terror Resistance might lower the duration of terror but I've never gone out and formally tested it specifically.

Certain ones like Resist! Silence are plentiful enough that you can reach 180 without too much trouble. Omen bodies are great for capping against specific debuffs.
I've made great use of my Resist! Silence set on WHM and find myself defaulting to it anytime I'm worried about silence. However, it's usually easier to just stack more magic evasion and elemental resistance.

Each point of elemental resistance, as seen on the gear screen, corresponds to 1 point of magic evasion for that element.

In addition, modified elemental resistance from baseline also causes several effects for players, regardless of the magnitude of the change in resistance.

1) Positive elemental resistance (as seen on the equipment screen) enables an additional resist state (level 3 for magical attacks, varies for enfeebles). The additional resist state is not guaranteed, and sufficient magic evasion to fully resist an attack is still required.

2) Negative elemental resistance (as seen on the equipment screen) prevents full resists to that element regardless of magic accuracy and magic evasion (barring Resist Status job traits and equipment bonuses).
