If I log 4 in all from the NA client, no one DCs unless the house's internet goes down.

If I log 3 in from the NA client and one in from the EU client, the EU one DCs in a half hour.

Idk... I will try to time it tomorrow morning and see if it is precisely half an hour every time.

Does the Twilight/Crepuscular set Reraise apply quickly after you put it on, or do you have to be wearing it at combat start?

Pretty quick, give it like 2 second leeway for the server to recognize it. About the same time as the AoE sphere effects taking place.

Equipping them after you die will not give you the RR effect.

Anyone used power slash on RUN for extra procs on arebati? If yes, did you use critical hit rate gear? Wiki is a bit ambiguous if it actually helps or not. I like to try and throw one here or there as a couple times got a blue proc off of it, not sure if it's worth tho.

Was building a crit hit rate set which maybe is not worth also <.<

From brand new I'd get the DI set/PK set and go straight to V1E/V2N depending on month ambuscades, yes. Ambuscade is like the starter set. Due to ease and being actually aight until you start needing effort.

Planning to start a new Aeonic run, and for my alt I'm intending to get KI for Khatvanga - mainly due to lack of compelling options for her other jobs. Any good niche uses for it these days, or is it gonna be a trophy only?

I have all of BLM SCH SMN. Generally use Marin +1 for nukes on BLM, or Bunzi/Ammurapi on SCH.

Or, am I overlooking any good reasons to go for one of the Aeonics that I don't currently have for mastered jobs on this character? Those would be:
- Club for WHM (has non-AG Yagrush) and GEO (has non-AG Idris)
- Sword for RDM only (already has R25 Crocea Mors, Naegling)
- Dagger for BRD only (already has R15 Carn, Tauret, Naegling)

Any reason why not goin for Horn in this case? It has a Carn, so I'm figuring its seen some use?

Mage aeonics are absolute garbage.

Yup, I have horn - Marsyas was that character's first Aeonic.

The ones I listed are the only Aeonics remaining for that character's jobs, and I'm not planning to level any anything else for this character (last time I grabbed the katana for funsies for her not-yet-master NIN as a lark... because apparently 4/4 NIN REMA on my main just wasn't enough XD)

So yeah, we're down to only Staff, Club, Sword (lolno), Dagger (for BRD only when I have better options already).

I know none of these are amazing, just wondering if there are niche use cases for Aeonic staff where it might come in handy. I've seen some people put together some crazy Occult Acumen builds and gain TP like mad, not sure what to actually do with that though. Cataclysm builds maybe? IDK!

Its possible to really get a pretty amazing Occult set while still using your typical nuking staff to avoid loss of at least the token TP you already had if your build includes the ice cream cone, but yes technically you can get 1k in one T6 nuke with Khatvanga. Still not personally sure if its worth swapping to (I still don't even owning the staff), but probably depends on playstyle.

In terms Cataclysm/Earth Crusher cleaving- for raw damage there are better options but for most it would probably be the best choice for 1k TP spamming of the WS.

I wouldn't suggest to anyone to build a Khatvanga for legitimate reasons, but for the niche purposes you bring up it definitely has value. My only question has always been is the increased performance in those moments worth swapping weapons.

I'm kinda thinking the most practical niche use may be for emergency MP refills. Swap to Khatvanga Occult set and nuke to get 1000+ TP (provided you have the MP for the nuke/nukes), Myrkr for MP (where 500 TP Bonus is also nice), then swap back to actual damage staff. Maybe not that much better than just using Occult set on your standard nuking weapon instead, but seems reasonable enough for that specific use case.

Cataclysm/Earth Crusher (with /WAR or /WHM sub ewwww) for messing around I guess is also something to do with it, but less practical on most "serious" content.

Are gimp BRDs ever accepted into content of any sort? I'm talkin' like Su2 Harp BRDs and such?

Blurred+1 is all song+2 and Langelik/Apollo's are march/minuet+3

All you need is a blurred nq and an eminent flute. really. No one knows the difference if you do minuet/march in +2. I did a lot of ambuscade shouts just full timing blurred+1
