For THF TP:

mextli harness and cuauhtli headpiece +1

vs

Toci's harness and ocelomeh headpiece +1

Assuming all other pieces are equal?

Okay one last dumb question.
I would like to re-obtain my xbox 360 at some point in time, and based on it's location hub, what would be the best manner in obtaining all current expansions and mini-expansions for the Xbox as it tends to require being read from a disc, which appears to have vanished from the face of the earth from what I can tell.
Am I forced to dig through the discount bin and hope for the best or ebay?

Disclaimer: I know, I know. Get a laptop. Windower. Spellcast.
Believe me, I know. I'll still have a PC version but for small menial tasks, I'd like to use this time to time.

Bump of shame ._.

Yes, you have to have to find a copy for your Xbox if you want to play on it.

I believe the set triple attack on Ocelomeh set would be best of those two.

I know abyssea works as long as you registered it on your account. But which expansions require an installation of sorts? What would the most up to date xbox version be, and how difficult would it be to obtain?

if you have the expansions registered you only need some form of a 360 xi disc, it doesn't matter which one.

well that's just for the mini as long as you have at least the original disc and the wotg. or the ultimate.

Thank you. My most up to date xbox disc was back from when ToAU came out, and if I'd imagine it would need a newer disc to install WoTG. Luckily the mini expansions including abyssea are all version based and access becomes available upon registration without requiring extra files from a subsequent disc release.

So I'm thinking of coming back and curious how lowmannable the 99 content is. I thrived in abyssea with a curebitch, proc ***, and my ninja main up to level 95 when I decided to quit. Aside from this very open-ended question...

1. Other than the level cap quest, how necessary will it be to find more than 3-4 people to get the best gear possible?

2. Assuming voidwatch panned out, is it done via shouts or "endgame" alliances?

3. What do people spend the most of their time on? Are dynamis zones still packed with bst/dnc's?

So you finally get the arrow out of your knee--and finally stopped playing those Zelda games you were supposed to give to your younger brother--and coming back to FFXI? :p

On-topic: Are the xmas pants and snowman hats storable on NPC yet? I didn't see it in the patch notes.

Right now, not at all. Legion may change that but it's probably doable with PUGs to some extent. Drop mechanics would be my main question there.

Both, really. Prevalence of T6 shouts varies from server to server but there's definitely opportunity to get gear purely via PUGing.

Dyna, Voidwatch probably. Legion is coming in a couple weeks and hopefully the planned Nyzul refinements too, so things should open up more soon. Think the BST TH adjustment happens then too.

Approx how long would it take to finish the Moogle Kupo d'Etat story line? I want my headpiece for BST, but it just seems like a lot of running around. Would the 10% dt and 5% haste really be that noticeable?

Dumb question:
Blu breath spells were enhanced by obis/twilight cape?
I didn't even had obis the last time i had fun with em so never tried it really.

I'm reforming my blu.xml at work and i'd like to leave that part done but can't test myself here D;

They don't do anything for the damage of breath.

While on the topic of blu situational gear does anyone know if Excelsis Ring boosts our drain/aspir spells?

was looking at the ffxiclopedia page for orcus and I see

Gravitic Horn: Heavy wind, Throat Stab-like damage in a fan-shaped area of effect. Resets enmity. Shell lowers the damage of this, and items like Jelly Ring can get you killed.

is it a throat stab-like move? or is it just heavy wind magic damage

Get your perp low enough to maximize your refresh rate, within reason (AF3+2 body/feet gogo). Anything beyond that is obviously pointless.

Pretty sure it's a throat stab. It's really the only thing he can do that hurts at all now though, I was taking 0 damage from melee hits in PDT gear with Cocoon and Phalanx II last time I fought it.

Was going to make a smn thread but I guess can just post it here.

I burned smn from 49-91 last week when bored and over a few days got all the relic/empy +2 that I thought would help. Now I'm noticing I have all avatars free + some refresh (without using subjobs) only using 5 slots on me. So my question is, should I even be bothering with all the ele perp staves now? This one is free Ramuh + 1/tick refresh.

Do you mean lv51 ele staves or magian perp staves? Magian staves I would say is the easiest way to open up auto refresh slots along with what you already have, you would only need the lv80 perp versions if you had evoker's ring too.

Lets you swap summoner's horn +2 for af3+2 head and also letting both auto refresh II trait and stearc subligar give refresh instead of one of them cutting perp cost, you would get 4mp/tic with an avatar out. You could just do a couple of the magians for the avatars you use most frequently if you don't want to make them all.
