As a kraken THF: Domain invasion, WKR, Omen fodder/objectives, Einherjar, WS/relic/empy/mythic trials, dynamis farming, etc. It's a fun piece to have and speeds lower content up considerably. You can actually check ffxidb for the mobs in those fights to get a full list of what they drop. Though obviously the percentages aren't even close given they drop nothing when not campaign.
When it comes to enemy Mijin Gakure,
Is it fire element or non-elemental? Is it magic damage or breath damage? Since barfire cuts dmg and mab enhance it, elemental fire.
pretty sure it's just 43 with poison, which is why noone uses it

Is there one? As a run, you can also try one for all (big stoneskin type of barrier) and oddyllic subterge (destroy mob macc for around 1 min). Is throwing gil at this final stage crafting shield a realistic expectation and how much should I prepare to throw if it is?
Farming spheres sounds awful. Self-Destruct is breath damage, so depending on how the mob's HP interacts with this version's damage cap, zerging it could very well make it weaker.

If you are good at running in and out bst probably work decent too. Most jugs tend to be fairly resistant to elemental breath dmg. And bird jesus has 50% sdt to fire

Also, ages old question I'm sure has been beaten to death, is mijin gakure fire damage? I had thought it wasn't but read elsewhere today that barfire can help resist?

Probably just base though some might have merits. Don't think anyone's bothered to test it not really that much of a range. I like using Assailer Chariot to test mdt
