Random Question Thread (FFXI Related)

Well FFXI streaming is a little tricky because you need to be doing -something-. Lately i been getting ppl that haven't played XI for x amount of years so its easy to talk about what's changed since they played (Like HP Crystals, SoA, Delve, etc) so it makes it easy to fill up dead air. If you're streaming a LS group run of something, talk about what the run is you're doing, the drops ppl are after and what they're for. Just pretend you're talking to someone that don't know what any of this stuff is for.

Two ways to watch twitch chat of your channel

1) 2ed monitor
2) using xsplit gamecaster with a paid sub so you can just actually keep ffxi full screen and see your twitch chat ezpz.

If you plan to stream, OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is the best way to go because its light on the CPU.

From there just be your self, talk about whatever, it don't have to be FFXI, can be recent news, sports, whatever you're in to. Just keep a conversation going but getting used to talking to your self is the part to get past ^^

Reposting Question: Guildwork keeps forcing me into a linkshell I no longer have any more. I keep deleting it and updating my current linkshell and it keeps putting me back in the old one + my current LS. Also, guildwork has stopped updating my items list since this problem started.

Q: How do I permanently remove myself from an LS on guildwork.

a omega can be solo's by some jobs or is a fairly straight forward fight for mnk + mage.

Which jobs can solo a omega?

Changing your allegiance *should* just affect your AN (you have your own AN pool for each allegiance) but you can do all Nation Quests at once, you don't have to swap your Allegiance. Once you have access to Campaign, you can do start the Quest line for any nation without having to change your allegiance.

same ones that solo other things, nin, dnc, pup, pld, rdm, blu. maybe smn, sch, run. I'm not all that familiar with jobs i don't play, but it's not an easy solo either way, be prepared or just bring a friend.

I didn't think of thief because it doesn't have a good way to bypass his damage resistance phases, but these are the sets I use for THF solo.

Does Laevvid has piercing dmg taken+ after water nuke? Last stand often do 9~11k on it and I'm not sure if other WS is that high. I wonder if SAM better off using piercing WS too.

takes extra damage from everything. have had 12k Fudos occasionally as well.

depends on how many attack buffs you have and how many DEF down debuffs the NM has. no reason not to use namas or apex if your ratio is high enough. slashing only for Wopket though.

My gf is getting Error: 3101 Transmission error when trying to log in using her dekstop. She has no issues with logging in on her laptop. They both are using the same router and both running wireless. Is there anything she can try?

Minimum required for ADL? Assuming all well geared?

The minimum we have seems is 1 person (there is a video in youtube, a mythic smn soloing adl with 1h), and pchan videos of 3 man.

I have yet to do this fight, but i believe the more common strategy consist in 2 Smns using ramuh stun move to stop adl from moving once he split. Then the rest of party is spike dmg to finish as soon as you can.

I would like to use this question to ask whats adl hp, and if its possible a spike dmg to win before him to split?

Were you by chance in party at that time?
