It's like some Pro-lifers... It diminishes the cause if you're willing to cross over and become what you hate. You're mad that someone is ending somethings life yet you take it into your own hands to do the same... If that's your way well I guess I can't change how you feel but don't think you're going to make any kind of significant change. Well at least not a positive one for your goal. All anyone that ever does that gets is to put a gaping hole in the movements campaign and probably will get more people to move against them as extremists.

As for people saying one thing and doing the other... When a person speaks out and says that fur is terrible while wearing a fur coat then it just makes no sense and again is detrimental to the cause. If you want to convince someone that this is the right way and such and you can't even do it yourself... How can you really expect anyone to take it seriously? I guess the best you can hope from that is a token effort that makes you burn/donate one piece of clothing or something. When the leaders of a movement can't even abide by it then what's the point really?

99% is going to think someone is crazy if they put animal life (in general) over human life. I have to say I was pissed off and felt like I had lost part of my family when my dog was run over by a cab only to be told by the state that I can only claim my dog as property. On a personal leve we can bond and some even like their animals more than some humans but as self-preservation kicks in no one is going to sacrifice themselves over an animal.

I propose to all those promoting this lifestyle that they indeed live by it. Buy no products or anything that has been tested or made from animals and also make sure you are not treated by any medicine that has been tested on animals first. That way at least you can know that you took no part in this.

I'm against killing animals or anything for the sake of killing but when one dies to pass on life its a different story.

Also, if all meat products were to go under there would be a vast hole in the U.S. Economy lol.

I was a little harsh there though, in all honesty. I should rephrase them all to say that I wouldn't date (or spend much time with, period) people who try to force their beliefs onto me. Any beliefs, even ones that I already hold. You can be vegan and not try to make others be vegan-- it's not very common at all, but it's possible. You can be religious and not try to make others be religious. It's quite uncommon, but not impossible. You can be atheist without trying to force others to be atheist, it's just not how it usually works. You can be republican without hating democrats, and vice-versa, but the ones I know aren't aware of that fact. I shouldn't judge all vegans/vegetarians by just the ones that I know personally. But the ones I do know personally, I go to great lengths to avoid. For exactly that reason. Can't even say hello to them without them asking if I've stopped murdering innocent animals yet. >.> lol.

Some folks just really can't accept that you can agree to disagree. You can live and let live. You can *gasp* be friends with someone who's views aren't a carbon copy of yours. Not everyone has to be just like you, and that's OK! Peta's just one of those organizations that can't accept it.

Bolded is so hard to do. :( I was like the only person who claimed anything near conservative/republican when I was at college. All my friends were Democrats/Democrat supporters/Republican/Conservative bashers. It is sooooooooo difficult to ignore your own friends bashing things you feel strongly about... oh boy.
