I'm pretty sure I'm not going crazy, but was magic recast not capped at 50%?
Since the update I've been getting 14 second utsusemi ni recast on thf with capped magic and gear haste. I swear before the update I had never seen any lower than 23 seconds.
Seen the same on a rdm with a 10 second stoneskin recast.
Anyone know if the cap was raised, or is this a bug, or am I just misremembering(I'm pretty sure I'm not)?

New cap is 80% by the way. Same as the new fast cast cap and the total delay reduction cap for melees.

Eyeballing fast cast times is not and has never been reliable. The fast cast cap was empirically demonstrated via its effect on recast.

Sorry for bumping old thread, but I have a related question.
When you say cap is 80% I know it applies to cast time but does it apply to recast as well?
I've seen BG put recast can only go up to 40% because of the 80%cap on fastcast/haste, but would recast stack while cast time can't from cap?
As in if I have 60% haste from gear, 30% from jt the cast time caps at 80%, but will recast jump to 45%?

Current theory is that the cap is around 80% but is unconfirmed because there isn't enough available gear to test it.

The different types of recast reduction are multiplicative as well meaning that the modifiers are calculated seperatly instead of adding then together. I.E adding 25% FC and 25% haste doesnt cut the timer in half, instead you get a reduction of 37.5% (75% of 75%). Because it works like that it difficult to stack enough to reach the assumed cap.
