Ffxiii Wasnt Good

All I have to say to that Daus is wow.

Vaan gets cool in Tactics A2.

Just cause nothing can conceivably be worse than Luso <_< and Cid is the cool guy in that game!

I tried to like XIII, I really did. I brought it home excited as hell, since I missed out on the past couple FF's from not having a PS2. I didn't go into the game with any negative pre-existing notions, I was really ready to enjoy the game.

Then I played it.

Oops, let me rephrase that. Then I push Up on the D-pad and pressed the A-button 50x for 2 hours.

If you enjoyed it, then I am happy for you. But this game was not for me. I could rage for 10 pages about all the parts of it I thought were absolute ***, but that's pretty pointless. If you enjoyed it, I'm not going to convince you not to. If you hated it, I'm not saying anything you don't already know.

I've been a FF fan since 1991 when I found the first one on NES by accident. This one was just not for me. I'm done with FF at this point.

FFXIII isn't that bad. The story is great. The idea of Paradigm Shift is a great idea. The way you summon in this game is actually really cool. The soundtrack is just awesome.

Not worrying about MP was a bit of a turndown as well as hp restored after every battle. Also they gimped on towns which was lame. Also making quick decisions during battle kinda is lame, especially since I want to think a little more on what I want to do, not spam 'auto-attack' in fear of losing time.

Overall though, it's a decent game.

I similarly gave 13 a fair go, I completed it even but I don't think at any concievable point I actually enjoyed it, I've had no desire to go back and complete all the marks, the game has been untouched since I beat it.

Honestly had more fun with 12 even though Vaan was a terrible main character, Basch would have been fair superior, much more backstory and a true reason to be fighting against the empire.

That said I've noticed my interest in FF games has waned since Squaresoft became Square-Enix, I have never been able to put a finger on it but the games are just different, they aren't Final Fantasy anymore.

People give FFVIII's plot a lot of crap, but personally, the ending
