I love my placebo skill up ring! best thing I've seen added in many years to any craft.

Find a fishing friend or someone that has high level fishing that would be willing to help. The ring is totally worth any cost < 1 mil tbo but don't pay that lmao. You can get one of the top 25 fish (to get the ring) if you fish the fish for a day or two to meet the requirements. I did meet requirements, its lowest weight and i scored 114 so I think thats good. The lowest size cap is 77 and i got a 99.
i always skill up with 2 of those rings, the enchantment effects stack, so even more skill up chances. seen a few double skill ups, but never a triple skill up

With only one ring active, you can get double skillups. The ring doesn't improve skillup rate, but rather gives a second slot for a possible skillup. That's why you will rarely see double skillups. You would need to see a triple skillup to prove that two rings stack. Yea, they do stack. 2 rings gives each fish caught 3 chances at a skill up. Makes skilling up a lot faster.

AH is quicker, but damn am I lazy. I'm actually happy that they don't sell so high on the AH that way its easier for me to npc them w/o feeling guilty for my laziness :3
btw, how does everyone feel about the new Angler's Discernment/Senses system? When your skilling up do you see it a lot? so far 17 lik today. This silk is being annoying I just bought my Lu shangs, fishing it is silly.

It has been a long time since I've fished black sole, it might be 4-5 hours. Fishing Dil/Merc's/Pots until you reach 200 would probably be 4-5 hours as well. 200 Hakuryu would be about 20 hours on the other hand. It's about 5 hours on a good day, but spread out fishing 30 minutes here and there between chores, it's pretty easy to hit cap. I get around 150k a day doing that.

I was rocking 10 hour days back when I was fishing soles.
It is a pain, but I can deal with it. It's funny seeing all the AFK fishers going down though lol.
I had a few issues fishing a monke onke for cap break, but I managed to get one eventually >.> |
