Just wondering how you guys handle swap-in gear on your item sets, do you include both items, or just the one you usually have on most of the time?

Doesn't really matter, I don't use the windower macros...just curious is all ^^

Obviously you're limited to the six lines they provide you with macros, I really wish they would increase this because it becomes a hassle to have two macros for one gear set swap. I do not use windower and don't believe I would use windower macros even if I could.

i typically only change one at most 2 pieces per macro depending on what it is, but for a major change i have a complete 6 line gear swap like from tanking pld to dd for we skills then back

In cases where I need more then six lines of macros, I use /book command.

Line 1: Equip Head
Line 1: Equip Hands
Line 1: Equip Feet
Line 1: Equip Legs
Line 1: Equip Body
Line 6: /macro Book 2

Line 1: Equip Ring
Line 2: Equip Waist
Line 3: Gogogo Spell/WS
Line 4: /macro Book 1

If you make Book 1 Alt + 1, And Book 2 Alt + 1, all you gotta do is double tap your macro, it'll equip all your gear, fire off spell/ws/whatever, and then send you back to your original macro set.

Who needs Windower.

ohh wow i may need to invest in this seeing as my drg is starting t require alot of gear swaps. So doing it this way you technically go from 10 groups of macros per book to 5

Thanks for the replies, but I just meant on here, not in the game. I have gear sets saved for a couple different jobs here but didn't know how people normally handle the stuff there not wearing a most of the time, just carrying with them for WS's and such. I'll just make new sets I guess.

there's no point in items sets here except to maybe keep it as a wish list. o.o

Some people like to use them show what they use to help other people decide on their gear choices. They're also a quick way to reference how much STR/Dex/Whatever you have in X Set.

I agree--it's like your own myffxigear.kicks-***.org ^^;

Oh, and I also use it for crafting sets, such as an average of how much I'd have to spend on materials of a certain craft that I do often. Also, I use the item set function to quickly find out how many of that item is in stock, and how much it's going for, to see if it's worth putting on the AH or if I should wait.

Ya I just like to keep it up to date so I can easily compare what changing a piece or two of gear is gonna do for my stats, and compare to other sets. No one else I know has DNC as high as me, so I may not know of certain gears that may work better then what I have etc...

I'm on PC so I just jump sets (/macro Set #) since we get 10 but the idea is the same.

There's two, Book and Set. I can't remember off the top of my head which one I use. o.O *Is too used to Copy Line and Paste Line* I'm pretty sure it's /macro Book # though, and not Set.

Yeah I know there's 2, /macro Book actually jumping books which I would definitely have to do if I didn't play on PC. I'm using... I think 8 sets on my BLM, with every slot programmed both CTRL and ALT. Maybe 9. Making all that took forever...
