Quote: The Federal Bureau of Investigation is looking into who may be responsible for leaking private photos hacked from the cell phone of actress Scarlett Johansson.
The two photos allegedly depict Johansson in various stages of undress. An FBI official told Fox News, "The FBI is aware of the alleged hacking incident and is looking into it."
According to TMZ, Johansson directly requested the Bureau track down the culprits.
Fox News also reports that the FBI is already investigating whether other celebrities, including Vanessa Hudgens and Jessica Alba, had their email accounts hacked. According to TMZ, Hudgens met with law enforcement earlier this year about the hacking.
This is far from the first time a celebrity has had his or her privacy violated. Several years ago, ESPN reporter Erin Andrews was the target of a stalker who secretly videotaped her in her hotel room. That man, Michael Barrett, was later found guilty and sentenced to 30 months in prison.
Though it was never confirmed, hackers also claimed to have photos of actress Blake Lively several months ago. A rep for Lively quickly threatened legal action against anyone who posted or distributed the photos.
The cell phone hacking of Hugh Grant also caused a major uproar. Reporters for the now defunct British tabloid News of the World hacked into the film star's cell phone to listen to private messages. Grant had the last laugh when he secretly tape recorded one of the reporters admitting to the crime.
Not surprisingly, this latest scandal is causing an uproar on the Web. Over the past several hours, online searches for "scarlett johansson" and "scarlett johansson fbi" have both soared into breakout status.

So FBI is getting involved in this, and will likely arrest the person who hacked it, but News of the World only closes their newspaper and no one goes to jail?'
EDIT: Oh, never mind some people were actually arrested for those hacks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/News_International_phone_hacking_scandal#Further_arrests

This is why I miss SLR cameras with actual film and darkrooms.
Pretty much anything on an electronic medium can get hacked or exploited.

Pretty much anything on an electronic medium can get hacked or exploited. But the beauty of electronic cameras brought us this very nice ***.. How can you see that as anything but a good thing? :>

Oh lack of precautions and brilliant minds gave us a very beautiful *** and boob; don't misunderstand that I'm ungrateful. I just find it silly that it warrants a full fledged FBI investigation.
By slipispsycho 2011-09-14 23:30:29
Well you don't expect the FBI to investigate any thing actually meaningful, do you?

Touche good sir.
Touche.
Though to be frank, bodies like her are a dime a dozen in pornography. Perhaps we idolize her and her body because she is a well known almost family name actress that retains at least an iota of purity and innocence, so when something like this happens, it becomes a big deal.

I've actually put thought into that before (not her specifically) the less I've seen of a good looking woman's body, the more I want to see it.. We want what we can't have, it's in our nature mostly.

Haha yeah, she was pretty much a tease up until now. Covers of magazines showing us gratuitous amounts of cleavage but tasteful cover ups and dresses pretty much gave everyone the "I wonder what she looks like naked" syndrome.

And now she's "meh".

Blurry cell phone pics don't do anyone justice, but for what we have, I can't complain.
But the "sensation" of it is more or less over and done with.

I dunno, it's pretty easy to have an accurate picture in your head of her nude body from that. She has a very nice one.

Well, yeah, your imagination can fill in the blanks pretty well.
But what I mean is sometimes pictures and even videos, regardless of their resolution or detail can't do justice for seeing it in person.
Similar to things like The Grand Canyon, I think people can share that same trait of mysticism so to speak.

I can understand she's pissed obviously; I can't understand this becoming a worldwide news though.

I wonder who she sent those photos to in the first place.
Recipient: I swear I didn't send them to anyone.
SJ: Then I was hacked!

psssh, just a couple pics? Paris Hilton's (not that I rly care about her) phone hack was more amusing, since it didnt just get a big stack of photos, but celebrity phones, and people where calling them.
did read a few interesting convos that took place.
those 2 pics? mil, and looks like they might as well have been taken for a scene on the movie.
but yes, as stated above, nice ***.

At least all of us can rest easily in the knowledge that there is absolutely no favoritism or any kind of royalty here in the US. Not saying what "happened*"
Recipient: I swear I didn't send them to anyone.
SJ: Then I was hacked!
was not a crime. But really... I kinda wish someone did the same thing to me, so that I could try to see what the FBI would do in response to my direct request that the FBI track down the culprits.
*If famous women are just as stupid as normal women and take stupid pictures like this on their phones, then I think it's reasonable to say that famous men as well as normal man are dickish enough to post 'em. And lie about it.
