This thread keeps making me remember old favorites I hadn't thought about in years. Here's one more from me, the theme to the lesser known Gundam Seed C.E.73 Stargazer, in my opinion, one of the finest themes to grace a gundam series.
OP to blood+ .... because Acebeast got me watching it again lol
I forgot about Hitomi Takahashi. I really liked this song and the one from Gundam Seed Destiny she did before it. I heard she kinda left the music biz. Kinda strange how in Japan you can go from being one of only three solo artists to have their debut single debut at #1 on the charts, to falling into obscurity by the time you're 20.
Gundam has such awesome openings and endings.
Now if only they'd make a full length series with the quality writing of the OVAs rather than rehashing the same plots over and over, it'd be bloody brilliant.
Funnily enough, I was thinking about painting one of those in an FFXIAH colour scheme after seeing one done for HobbyLink Japan, but I had no idea how I'd go about that being that they're mostly blue/white anyway. Also not sure which suit would be best for it.

I figured that since there's a regular music thread and a videogame music thread, I should make one for anime/visual novels! So, FFXIAH, what are your favorite anime/VN songs? I'll start with a few popular ones:
If any of you have seen Clannad, you will know why this song is so powerful. Never before have I been emotionally gripped by a single song, I tear up while listening to it sometimes ;_;
But they're manly tears!
No thread on anime music would be complete without mentioning "Lilium" from Elfen Lied. This is definitely my favorite OP of any show I've seen and probably one of the most famous, but sadly I couldn't upload the actual opening (I'm sure you know why).
There is no Umineko anime.
Now that that's out of the way, I introduce Umineko no Naku Koro ni (When the Seagulls Cry), a murder mystery visual novel series. Whether or not you like crime stories, one of the things that is almost universally respected by its readers is the music. Oh god.
I would go as far as to say it surpasses Final Fantasy music at some points. It has multiple composers, and a wide range of music from just plain kickass (Dread of the Grave) to downright horrifying (Mirage Coordinator, ridicule, system0). Definitely one of the high points of the series.
