Guildwork has allowed me access to some Jeuno shout data so I can share with you via FFXIAH. I have plans to parse through it and maybe automatically list wtb/wts items among other things.

Guildwork premium users will get enhanced features that are still in development and scheduled to be released this weekend. This includes:

  • Searchable archives

  • Real-time updates accross multiple servers/zones

  • Filtering

  • No limiting (FFXIAH only shows the last 25 lines)



Guildwork premium
If you haven't heard, Guildwork.com has recently stared it's premium membership program. I want to give you a list of some features that it includes:

  • No advertising

  • Faster character updates via Guildwork's scraper (every 2 hours)

  • Special premium badge for your profile page

  • Query FFXIAH.com via Guildwork Client (Final Fantasy XI only)

  • Chat in-game from your browser while at school or at work (Final Fantasy XI only)

  • Get real-time notifications of your AH sales! (Final Fantasy XI only)

  • And of course the shout features that they are working on.

Shouts seem to be 15 minutes delayed? :<

I still miss being able to use //ffxiah.
Don't have an actual credit card to pay with, and there aren't any other options [for whatever reason].
Even if I had a card available, I tend to have bad luck with giving it out. Would love a PayPal or similar option....

Am I the only one that is a little unsettled that GW client is gathering text from users and sending it to a server to be archived? Sure I think Stanislav is trustworthy and it requires trust to use the client, but having the client take my in game text and send it to someone else is kinda sketch to me.

I love the idea of being able to see archived shouts, just not the way the information is being gathered :(

Feel free to fire up any HTTP inspector and watch what is sent back to GW. It only contains yells and shouts.

Premium accounts are different because they have the Remote Chat feature, those send all chat data but none of it is saved on Guildwork servers (last 200 lines are cached to keep the page populated incase your browser crashes). If anyone complains with Premium and does not want the Remote chat feature, there will be an off-switch provided, but so far no one has complained.

it's not storing your personal info, nor your content ID or anything like that. just shout info which...anyone can read if they are in jeuno. if you didn't want what ever you are shouting/yelling known in jeuno...or read from where ever...then why shout it?

haha awesome, i always hoped for something like this but didn't think it was possible. sometimes i just like to wait around for a decent shout to join in on but don't like to always sit in jeuno/leave XI on forever without doing anything. so problem solved for me XD

maybe they're concerned about the possibility of reading personal /tells.

It'd kinda suck if you're skipping a ls event and are faux afk or something....or talking about somebody behind their back.

not that I'd ever condone either but everybodies human and all and everybodies guilty of it at some point.
