Just FYI fellow artists, I tried out these Sharpie "Liquid pencils"
They kinda suck.
A lot.
A friend of mine from college swears by them. He said something along the lines of them being the best thing ever but taking a lot of time to get use to. They look interesting but eh, kinda expensive last I looked :<
Bah! I wanted to bash these more yesterday but my internets was out.
They are basically like an erasable pen, except the "ink" is kinda stickier. I at one point decided to see if the stuff would smudge and it all came off the page like a stick-on tattoo would. The areas that did smudge, it went totally berserk, just smearing all over the page, it was terribad.
It erases a lot like an erasable pen would, only the weird grey erasers that come with it do a "good job" erasing and even then you aren't going to get it all off the page.
Trying to draw with them is balls awful too, the ink takes a while to start flowing each time you use it, so make sure you have some extra scrap to draw a milllion squiggles on. Once that is done I hope you like to hold your pencil at a 90 degree angle because from any other angle the pressure wont be enough to get the ink out enough to draw with. When the ink does come out don't try any of that fancy drawing lightly stuff, the ink either flows or it doesn't.
I dunno about getting used to them with more time, but I don't see a pencil being something that you should need to learn how to use and get used to when there are tons of perfectly good pencils out there.
