I never got the whole logic behind that. YOU HAVEN'T BEEN AT SCHOOL SO WE'LL EXPELL YOU!!!!!! It's like the death penalty for commiting suicide. Just... waaah?? lol
You do realize Teacher's and faculty are paid to provide school services for you? If it's a public school it will be with taxpayer's money. If you aren't going to show up, why should they keep the spot available for you?

During a period of time in which I was absent because of illness, I was told the same thing regarding my attendence indirectly effecting budget.
I don't have a problem and I understand the logic behind it, but the way it was phrased to me at the time felt more about the bragging rights about a higher grade average and a larger budget than the education of an individual. Yes, I know a bigger budget means more money can be spent on textbooks, equipment and the like but you don't know the teacher in my personal experience, he was ...an unpleasant man shall we say. A better education for his students wasn't high on his list, he really was one of these people you question why he became a teacher, let alone a job that involved working with children.
inb4 the holidays make the job worthwhile
Anyways.
Basically, I took naps during tests after I finished, because I was almost always the first one done and I didn't like the stares I got from doing so. So I'd get in a good 20 or so minute nap before I needed to turn it in.

I didn't go to school much either but I got away with it mostly cos I had migraines and they couldn't prove I didn't have one. I remember always being so tired at school. Whenever I didn't go I'd sleep til 3pm.
I just love the scoldy hotness of microwaved pizza in the mornings. It's the only kind of breakfast I can be arsed eatting in the morns - I'm not a huge fan of breakfast, I just ain't hungry when I wake up!
What were your character's awkward, adolescent school years like... were they a straight-A Scholar? A ballista jock? Professor Shantotto's teacher's pet? A self-hating Dark Knight?
